And then I saw the actual movie... and.... HOLLY CRAP the animation is unbelievable! The scenery and landscape is incredibly detailed and very enchanting.
Well, this is for TV and not theaters, so of course they're going to have a smaller budget.
And I think the show looks very nice for a hand-drawn TV animation. Nice shading on the characters and detailed backgrounds. I agree that the movie's in a league of its own, though.
True. This animation is really good, too. But someone said that they thought this animation was BETTER than the movie, and.... That's hard for me to believe! ^^

In the scene with Lian-Chu flying, the background music reminds me of The Trashmen and their greatest hit "Surfin' Bird (Bird is the word)".
