  • I am 13 years old and I went to the Buccoo Reef last year. While watching clip....for a moment......i thought that this was not the buccoo reef.............it is so beautiful in this video.....well it is beautiful as it is now.......... but there are sooo many fishes compared to the reef's current state and it is definitely different to how it is now...........it is soooo sad knowing that the beautiful reef is becoming damaged :(

  • wow.. look at how small man is compared to that reef at 3:26

  • all over Tobago has reefs

theres a reef in charlottes ville and one near fort granby and theres one in speyside were the worlds largest brain coral lives and theres one in parlatuvier theres alot ov small reefs

  • How Awesome! Thanks for sharing.

  • Trinidad & Tobago, beautiful country. i live here and views here still takes my breath away .!

  • I JUST LOVE THIS dive SITE

  • Coral bleaching seems to be a serious problem wherever I snorkel. When I talk to snorkelers and divers, especially the "old timers" who have been diving for decades, they are very concerned about the environment.

The environment is a global problem. The reefs are bleaching in the tropics, The ice caps are melting in the Arctic, and Antarctic. These are issues that humanity can no longer ignore.

  • @MCDavies100 Don’t they know that there’s something going on?

What they’re harming with their indecision

But who will be left standing when I’m gone?

There’ll be nothing left but a vision

  • the reefs in buccoo are dying. but there are others such as in speyside not too many people know about this and I hope it stays that way. protect the environment

  • Very good video! I was at Buckoo Reef yesterday and I can say that the coral looks lifeless and there are barely any tropical fish to see.

I can post a video for proof...

I went to Tobago 10 years ago and I don't remember it being this bad. It's such a shame that this has to happen...

  • Visiting Tobago later this year - it looks fantastic and is a real shame the reef seems to be becoming damaged.

  • @htafcjosh tell meh dis ting nah. i went to the reef for the first time in 2010 after hearing it was soo nice and it almost brought me to tears.

  • If the diver can touch the coral like that, it wouldn't take long for the reefs of Tobago to crumble. Bleaching is already taking place. You can see a lack of fish. Seriously, the reefs of Trinidad and Tobago will not be saved if these are the people in charge of their protection.

Shame, but expected. All trinis are weak and say they care but they don't know how to.

  • very cool video. You filmed and edited this?

  • Thanks soccersprint. Yes, we did.

  • the school system in T&T needs to educate our youths about preserving our environment and creating more eco/preservationist jobs for the future.

  • the reef is a wild treasure and should be taken care of that way

  • been there myself, stunning. Great video

  • Thank you lionstrong101.
