@Dustin20101000 "3 times i made Sargeant and pretty much as I could I get busted back to private again" Wow, I know Marines like that...dont be that Marine lol
i am 16 years old, i have been a punk for the last 6 years of my life. i love all types of music, especially lucero. lately i have been debating whether or not to join the services. despite my punk past i have so much respect for those who served, i dont know what i want to do with my life, but thank you to those who have faught and died to let me live it and i will try my best to do whats right
@punktheworld92 If you want to join, then join....I was in the Navy for 5 years...I was punk before then, and I'm punk to this day...but serving my country is still the decision in my life that I am most proud of! Good luck to you!!
if this song means nothing to you.....you are a piece of garbage....you would not have this forum to interact had it not been for your dads, grandpas and people who fought in the WW's....as the one veteran stated.......we can never be as tough as those guys from wwII.....God Bless those who serve(d)....and I am not a vet....I have the ultimate respect for them all
As I soldier I have to say that the war me and my friends are fighting now is nothing like the ones of the past. No matter how hard we try to be as bad ass as the past generations we'll never get there. Much respect to all past veterans who paved the way for us today.
this song really makes me think of all the soldiers that came before me and how I can mesure up to them. I really never can. Thank you all so much no much how much I fight I can never be as good a soldier or risk so much as you all did. I thank you for everything and thank you for setting the example for me. - " Sargent Rich"
@Rot8tn13b1986 God bless you for your service. My brother's currently serving in Afghanistan and this is one of his favorite songs. Every time I listen to it, I put myself in his shoes and thank God that there are people like you and my brother that are willing to do this for us.
This is one of their best songs, when he played it a few weeks ago in denver it was my first time to see it live...amazing. They're so awesome, I've seen em in 3 diff states.
I like this. I found out about them when I found Nichol's concept album about Blood Meridian, I got a CD of theirs "Rebels, Rogues and Sworn Brothers" and didn't like it. Do they have an album that is more like this and not so boisterously punk? I like punk, but I like my country/folk more in the lines of Chuck Ragan.
@greasymitts spoken like someone who will never understand what people like me and my friends have seen. Its nothing compared what the men fighting WWII saw. We have it easy nowadays compared to them.
I hate country, but this band speaks to me. fucking great music, great song

It was just really jarring the first time after you have listened to "Last pale light in the west" a million times.
