@Lasaration I think that Viv Albertine had some interesting things to say, as did Jah Wobble and others...people who are in your opinion not "famous enough to be recognised"...does that mean their opinions are not valid? I agree about Glen Matlock though - he was a pivotal member of the original Pistols...once Sid joined I think the music suffered...but Sid wasn't a stupid person; he covered up his intelligence alot of the time for comic effect, I think.

Malcolm Mc Laren calls Sid stupid to the effect that if you are going to be with someone as stupid and destructive as Nancy then why dont you just leave?! Agree about post- "Flowers of Romance* PIL. but the first three albums are great -forget Floyd; comparing what they did to what PIL did is futile. Lydon was antagonising the old guard, that's all...he had much wider taste than most "punks"...Hawkwind, Van Der Graaf Generator, Can, 70s Dub, Neil Young, Kate Bush..the list goes on.
