@michimammut He was actually talking about 0:57 when he is pulling in slack and takes his brake hand completly off the rope.... That is a no-no. His hand is not "tunneling" the rope, he does not have control if the climber falls and suddenly jerks the rope away. Bad form is all we are saying.
@snocket We forwarded your question to our product manager of the Smart belay device. Indeed it is very important to tunnel the rope when pulling in. But the brake hand is also on 0:57 every time tunneling the brake rope. You don't think so?

"taking in rope" (0:57)...really, you can stop holding the bottom rope??? what happens if your climber falls at that time?
