Use mine today and it was great! My foam came out in more of a stream instead of a spray pattern. Maybe I need to play with the adjustment knob more. Foam alone was not enough to clean my rims and tires. I know that now, so next time I'll agitate with a wheel brush.
I don't because I was told that you need the soap setup on the paint to grab all of the dirt and what ever there is on there and break it down so when you rinse it will remove all of it. Remember you Foam - Rinse - Foam - Wash mitt - rinse.
Just bought this same set up and I will be trying it in the next few days when it warms up. Also nice car got the same one in Lakeshore slate, are you on driver pm me your name
You will love this Foam gun. The soap is awesome. Foams up great. I have actually started adding some Meguiars Ultimate Wash and Wax the Yellow soap and it's even better.
Thank you for posting this! I just placed an order for the MTM Hydro Foam Cannon today for $50 instead of spending $120 for one from a popular online auto detail retailer.
You can adjust the stream on the front part where the foam exits the sprayer. You rotate it to get a thin stream or a wide fan like I have it setup on. You want a wide spray. You want to foam to stick for a long period of time. The thinner the stream the quicker it will come off.
Is there any reason as to why your foam lance seems to just be "painting" on the foam? Other videos (w/other foam lances) seem to be blasting it on. I just ordered a MTM lance, and I want to achieve the same results you have in your video. Is it in your settings?...specific washer?
Thanks for posting! I also use CG products, and will be picking up the MTM lance soon too... but will I get the same effect from my 1600 psi pressure washer?
@alexanderhdo I actually lowered the amount to 1 inch and it's just a foamy. Yes add water to just below the neck of the bottle. With that amount I can wash 2 cars. I usually Foam the vehicle let it setup for 5 min then pressure wash it off with a 25 Degree tip. I will then Foam it up again and take a wash mitt and go over the entire vehicle and it's perfect. Seems like a long time but it has cut my was time down by 15 min that including drying the vehicle. The bottle is 64oz.

I notice on a lot of videos with foam guns, folks don't pre-rinse. Is there a reason for that?

You should be fine. you can play with the amount of soap to water and get it dialed in and you will love it.

You will love this thing. I use it every time I wash my truck and wife's G35. I have had Zero problems with it. Enjoy.

@jasontech2007 Yeah, I only let it sit for about 3 minutes when it should have been 5-10.
