The whole thing is intended to just hang from that single central mast, swinging in the wind? Completely surrounded by a curtain of glass? How is this supposed to be tornado-proof? I would be scared out of my wits if I was in that thing when a tornado came tearing across the prairie.
This video is the real thing. It is a video recording made by capturing the image of an actual film projection camera. There were many reasonably high quality films created at the time (1930s).
chekchamon: To answer your question, this is about a type of mass produced, futuristic home. It was to be made of aluminum, and to be as effecient as possible. Only two were ever made. One was built onto an existing ranch-style home, outside of Wichita, Kansas. It was hoped that aircraft factories, in Wichita, and other places, could switch to Dymaxion House production, after WW II, when all their aluminum could be put to other use.
@chekchamon Looks to me that the footage is digitized and so probably cleaned up a bunch, that definitely is a young Buckminster Fuller. The quality of film is really more dependent on when where it was stored, different types of film, etc. and how each film type deteriorates over time. Also you are probably losing something of the old fashioned quality of it through it being re-recorded.
I WANT ONE!!!

What the Hell is this about?
Is this footage meant to be 80years ago?
If so, its quality is unmatched in both picture quality and sound!

It sounds like a museum, so this is most likely a video produced to look real enough for visitors. That doesn't look enough like Fuller anyway.
