It was quite slower than the normal pace. The reason is, this is a very short form, plus, with the excitement of the performance, you'd naturally move very quickly. So we made ourselves go slowly, to counter that - maybe too well.
Regarding the stops, they're a part of the training, in Xing Yi Quan.
It wasn't an examination, no. But you want to look good when there's audience + the masters are watching you.
A bit quicker, I understand the stops, though. It appears to be a sort of examination, right?
