Although it still has far less benzo[a]pyrene then tobacco smoke it still has quite a bit of it. Benzo[a]pyrene is linked to various cancers including lung cancer. So, unfortunately marijuana use can eventually lead to lung cancer because of this highly carcinogenic mutagen.

i've been on weed for 6 months and god its fucked me up abit, my GCSE results were worse than expected althought i got a few A*'s however i've had memory lost and cant keep track of time, i get the comedown of being lazy and not doing much at all during daytime and not getting on with my daily routine, I recommended doing weed on special occasions and not everyday like i did, it will fuck you up although its a herb but the long term and damage it can do to the brain aint worth it.

Although it still has far less benzo[a]pyrene then tobacco smoke it still has quite a bit of it. Benzo[a]pyrene is linked to various cancers including lung cancer. So, unfortunately marijuana use can eventually lead to lung cancer because of this highly carcinogenic mutagen.

You are correct, Marijuana contains carcinogenic chemicals upon ignition of the plant, however, the wording government funded studies implies is "Should cause" cancer. The effects of the cannibinoid system are not fully understood, thanks to zealous prohibitionists and scattered ignorance, but anti-cancer properties have been shown to be exhibited in the plant, possibly reversing the progression of such cancers.

In Canada it is legal to grow Hemp, but illegal to grow good ole Mary Jane. You can never get high smoking hemp as THC level is only at trace level. Do not disguise your bud love with hemp speak. Be honest about your objective. There are still vast hemp fields in the US that are used to make rope for ships. I haven't for 20 years but I know what it is. Anything that gets you high or drunk will prevent you from being productive. That includes the pills the doctor gives you. I've thought about this much before, how Hemp is possibly the greatest gift from 'god' as a resource. Think of how many lives could of been saved in Iraq if we'd of been using hemp oil (there'd be no need to fight for their oil, BECAUSE THEN WE COULD JUST GROW OUR OWN), How much wild life and tree's wouldn't be killed to make paper..(Which trees take years and years to grow while marijuana only taking about 6 months) I do think it's about time we all stop putting a $ sign on the earth

Well, kinda.. We can buy at the coffeeshop!and geuss what... only 1/5 of the population uses more then once every other month.

There was no increase in marijuhana use, when they `kinda´ legalized it in Holland. I suspect that it would be the same in France, Germany, UK, USA, Sweden or Portugal. only ppl have to be less sneaky

Of course, evil rulers who want control of populations would logically choose to make unlawfully "illegal" anything that benefits populations so as to enhance their control through the mechanism of enforcement. The govt. first CREATES a problem, then it swoops in to PRETEND to "solve" the problem. Their techniques never change. Govt. also blames every crime it commits on others; (false flag operations). @lifeseeker51 Your's is not a valid argument. Hemp is the most versatile plant on the planet and the most beneficial from a medical standpoint. Because a few misuse it does not negate its medicinal and other uses. There is no getting away from the FACT that the govt. is its greatest promoter for it to be grown and distributed. Also,it and its minions profit most from its illegal status. Worse, govt. withholds from the public its major utility as a cure for cancer. THAT'S the real crime.

@olga2415 Look at it this way.There are plenty of textiles that we've been useing forever.Somehow we're managing to manufacture rope even in the absence of hemp cultivation.As far as it's medical value,well ,having smoked for years,really,my entire adult life.I can say with authority that it's not medicine.Not a cure for anything.It is in fact a psycotic,so, for someone with a life threatening disease it's a detriment.What if pot didn't get you high?Honestly,would you care about it then?

But I do know that using HEMP OIL has cured people on death's door after conventional treatment. So go somewhere else with your skewed logic. I don't have time to keep repeating myself. @olga2415 A change of diet and lifestyle is all that is rquired to cure most of our ills.Pot doesn't cure anything.Certainly not cancer. You know it's hard to imagine someone who is such a pot advocate not smoking.It certainly isn't a main stream view on the dubious medical value of the plant. So, are you a chemist or some sort of physitian? Or does your viewpoint come from some other source like u-tube.Since you are not yourself a user,you cannot know much about it's true charicter.

It's common knowledge that people with anxiety disorders can be given medicated prescriptions for marijuana, my friend at UNI is about to get a degree in games design (a very maths/creative/logical/technical course) He told me he used to be self conscious but now he is outgoing and relaxed, his motivation remains. We only need know the emotive journey of a fellow human being that testifies. Empathy/moral judgement are valid to well travelled minds.

@MrLemonyFresh My experience was the exact opposite.The initial high was short lived the a certain paranoia took it's place. This is a common reaction to the effects of pot use.Many will deny it though.That is because it is also an extremely addictive drug. Let me ask you this.Do you smoke pot?

@lifeseeker51 Point well taken, I don't, but It seems that anything can have a bad effect when used in excess, Look at video games, I love and'll (soon) contribute towards the game industry, but there are people who replace winning with life's gratifications, and those who take them too seriously. As you know commonly good things can be harmful to those sensitive to it, like dairy & lactose intolerance. Not suggesting that you were sensitive but it does support smart usage of hemp.

@MrLemonyFresh Believe me,for the vast majority of those that smoke pot,the point of it's use is to get high.If a man has never smoked pot but still touts it's use as a solution to mental problems.Well, all I can say is,he doesn't really know what he's talking about.What I'm saying is the drug is not what it's cracked up to be. It can and does produce psycosis in it's users.It's an addictive drug.People comare it favorably to alchohol but most who smoke also drink.

What are the chemical properties that destroy cancer cells?I happen to know someone who also had cancer.Now in remission.Cancer of the bladder.His doc told him that 85% of cases like his were in people who regularly smoked pot.Odd isn't it.Pot cured your cancer but was causel in his.

It still finds ways to benefit from bashing the cigarette industry. Turns out the only ones who made out by gaining huge fortunes were the Attorneys with their class action cases. Look at the deaths per year by cigs and pot does help society in thinking out of the box in such of a way as steve job (RIP) who if never smoked pot would of never came up with apple computer. And to say a pot smoker is lazy is wrong i smoke pot every day but maintain straight A's in all classes in 12th grade

All these are much more of a waste of your life than pot. I think of pot as a herb that makes you think out of the box and come up with more than one solution to each problem or equation. resulting in better conclusions.
