Since Reach came out people hadn't remember those ugli looking monsters tht are called "The Flood" if they were in reach, then it would be a fail story
personally i feel that Modern Warfare killed halo to become the number one console franchise, and the incentive to make a movie has long since past. if they do make a live action film, it will be at the expense of losing out on an innovative film maker, like the one they had planned.
which means they'd give it to someone who's only interested in the money it could generate, and we end up with another x-men origins, or worse drangonball evolution.
oh and i also remember this time on halo wars making a giant grunt army making them rush a enemy base and toss plasma grenades to where the base was destroyed instantly

@Watcher40000 not really, bungie owns the majority of the rights, and so WOULD be able to create a film (that is, assuming they own more then half the rights to it), Microsoft would probably want some form of payment (duh), and possibly ensemble (or whoever made wars, i forget), all the authors of the books have no authority over what would happen, plus with 343 industries (a division of bungie) being entirely devoted to halo, i wouldn't put it past them to not have a halo movie!

Duke may not have a Storyline but It is What made First Person Shooters what They are today. If It were not for Duke, Then Shooters would'nt be As Cool. Half Life is The Best FPS I've ever played and if It werent for Half Life, Halo wouldnt exist. Halo got They're Idea from Half Life!!! And no, You are not being a Jerk :)

personally i feel that Modern Warfare killed halo to become the number one console franchise, and the incentive to make a movie has long since past. if they do make a live action film, it will be at the expense of losing out on an innovative film maker, like the one they had planned.
which means they'd give it to someone who's only interested in the money it could generate, and we end up with another x-men origins, or worse drangonball evolution.

@Watcher40000 not really, bungie owns the majority of the rights, and so WOULD be able to create a film (that is, assuming they own more then half the rights to it), Microsoft would probably want some form of payment (duh), and possibly ensemble (or whoever made wars, i forget), all the authors of the books have no authority over what would happen, plus with 343 industries (a division of bungie) being entirely devoted to halo, i wouldn't put it past them to not have a halo movie!

But they pased down the game to 343, but microsoft still obtains the rights, to make, lets say, the movie they POSTPONED, due to budget cuts, but when they get enough money, they will finish/make the halo movie. (IDK if they will continue the one they made or come up with a story a bit different taht they made.
