At first I was a hater. I am not a fan of mini-mates at all. I DO, however, like the way that these new BB are close in scale with their 1980's cousins. I also like the cleverness of the armor and head simply sliding ove the core mini-mates bodies. Thank God they are not just stickers. I HATE that. As to the rub signs... just get a bunch from Reprolabels and make your own allegiance. (if they ever come out with more than just the alligator guy.

Man, never imagined I'd see BB re released! These little things were my favorite toys! These are kinda cleaver but I definitely think they deserve to be their own toy and not shared w some other platform. A throwback series w original style design would be cooler but these arent too shabby. Would like to see some more.

Just.. awesome. My allowance for the better part of a year went to these little guys (loved when they went discount, I think $2.99 for a two-pack), still played with them into the early 90s. I didn't utilize the rub signs that often so I'm not missing it too much, but it was pretty iconic for the line.  I hope they're a successful line for the next few years.

Every time I try not to collect toys and grow up, they pull me back in!

I don't really like that idea, but i'm sure it'll still sell. I think Hasbro should make a new classics battlebeasts WITH RUB SIGNS. I did a small review on Battle Beasts about a year ago. I still want the rare T-Rex of the Laserbeasts.

I love Battle Beast, but the armor and design on this guy is disappointing. I like that it reuses the minimate body but the sculpt is lacking. The originals were all so awesome looking.

that is COOL, use to have some of those when i was a kid, or was that one of my brothers who had them???????? That's pretty cool looking, looks a little bit like the gormiti figures? but i don't think those come apart? But the old school one's might line up with the gormiti line, but the new one's looks cool an as good. Your right, i noticed the image thing missing off the chest on the new one when you got it out of the bag an set it up.

I have an old school battle beast (panda) and a laser beast (lobster), i'm pretty happy with them, dont think i'll be shelling out the $25 required for these re-imagined, emblem-less, Battle Beasts.

At first the new BB looked kinda bad, but after seeing more of it in the video made me wanting a few. Wonder how many they will release at once. I think I might still prefer the originals, but these new ones look alot more detailed and have better posability.

I never heard of Battle Beasts until just a while ago. That little dude looks pretty cool. There alot of character sculpted into that little guy.

The Battle Beasts where great. Some pointless trivia. In Japan Battle Beasts where a spin- off from Transformers. They even appeared in the japanese TV- show Transformers: Headmasters.

Instead of rubbing, you can just rest your finger/thumb on the bit and the symbol will appear, the signs last longer that way :)
