Jesus wants complete and absolute TRUST from us. Divine Mercy : JESUS I TRUST IN YOU. So stay focus. Remember what happened to Peter when he walked on the water to Jesus. He stayed afloat when he was focus on Jesus. As so as he took his focus away from Jesus and doubted, he began to sink. The Catholic Church is sufficient for us. Trust in this Bride of Jesus for He said I shall be with you until the end of time and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. That is enough for me.
She claims to have been a student of Abraham, and claims that joy and bliss and happiness becomes a god when you practice the law of attraction, and any supernatural healing is evil(unless it was done by Jesus). Do not let others tell you what is right or wrong, test it against what your own inner being tells you. Check out Abraham-Hicks on youtube, God doesn't mind. Abraham-Hicks tells it like it is. if your faith is not that strong, do not look at anything that is not Catholic
@nohighlow The devil is speaking through you. One does not need to personally experience something in order to know what it is or is not. The New Age movement is evil, and as such has nothing to do with Christianity. Stop trying to lead people astray.
The law of attraction is a lie but not because it is against any religious teaching but because it's absurdly, demonstrably, false. It makes predictions you can test and they fail to make accurate statements of any statistical significance (no better than guessing). I think that all claims like this should be treated skeptically until they are shown to reflect reality in some predictive capacity. Why believe anything if its tenants have no utility?
I left christianity because I didn't like the fact that it's based on the fear of hell (all negative), I could never understand how can god who loves you be willing to burn you in hell for ethernity? how can an all knowing god create something and than punish it for his own creation? where's the logic here? seriously. Then you add the adam and eve, noah, 6 days creation of everything, casting demons, talking snakes and it's no wonder one would jump ship to something that makes a bit more real.
@Redcaster916 Hell is a choice. Souls that end up there have chosen that themselves.I have a friend who is whacked on drugs. His mom and dad tried to warn him about the path he was choosing, but he stayed on that path anyway. Free will. It's not a difficult concept.
@Iraneus Hell is a choice? if an all knowing god created me, he knew I'd become a atheist, so he knew I'd go to hell before he even created me? how is that a choice? You are brainwashed to the point where your mind can't even think rationaly anymore. You are willing to twist anything in favor of your fairy tale just to make you feel better. I on the other hand look at the world for what it is.
@Redcaster916 Yes. Hell is a choice. It's also the absence of God. God having foreknowledge of you making that choice doesn't mean that's what He wanted for you. Most Christians believe that God gave us free will. How free would it really be if he prevented your existence simply because he knew you would make bad choices?
@AegeanKing Let me rephrase that so you understand: According to the Catechism of the Catholic Church "Hell's principal punishment consists of eternal separation from God in whom alone man can have the life and happiness for which he was created and for which he longs." That doesn't mean God is not present to those in hell. It means that rejecting him is a separation by choice. Absence was probably no the best choice of words.
There are more dangers in the stodgy theology of Christianity than in some of the "New Thought" or "New Age" philosophies. Both have been around for almost 2 centuries so it is disingenuous to call them New Age. Christianity has caused it's own suicides and murder, not to mention the guilt and fear many Christians carry around with them.
There is just no place for the New Age movement in the Christian faith. Why do we need The Secret or any other New Age thing to supplement the faith when we have Sacred Scripture and 2000 years of Christian teaching and thought. There are no original ideas in this case.
all we need is a catholic faith AMEN!!

@Iraneus Absence of God? So God is omnipresent except for Hell? By definition, that makes God not omnipresent.
