you know its pretty pointless to use a whole bounch of troops for exploring in a mission. Sure you have loads of troops but the more you have, the more they'll get in the way off eachother, you get confused and your ppl will die faster. A lesson i learned the hard way.

Well the marines were mad with the covenant because the covenant went around the universe glassing planets(destroying the plant until there is nothing but glass) and then they arrived at the humans planets and started killing them, thats why the whole war is going on, and im not REALLY sure on how the covenant was exactly made, but i think it was because all of the alien races had the same beliefs, so they built an army and went around killing stuff in the name of their beliefs

The Covenant was mad because the humans were the descendants of the forunners, the Covenants gods. So, as to stop a civil war (which happened anyways) the Covenant decided to just wipe out humanity.

Halo was originally meant to be a strategy game, not a shooter, so when you ask why it's not like the original.... it makes no sense. Also if you were to make this into a shooter it would have to be a whole series of games just like the Trilogy. In a strategy game they can tell the 20 year story preceeding the Halo incident without overshadowing the existing storyline.

What are you three?!? It's called sarcasm kid. Lot's of people use it for humor. I know when it comes out, but you stated that they have 4 shooters, when in reality ODST is still in development. Essentially meaning that Bungie has 3 shooters, and Ensemble has one Halo strategy game. Not to mention ODST takes place DURING the Halo Trilogy timeline, so even though it's going to come in it's own packaging it will basically be an expansion pack for Halo 2.
