  • Plz check out my channel good job by the way

  • Yeah, that's not a nursery setup, that's a clear box with babies in it floating at the top of the tank.

  • I'M SO FRUSTRATED =( MY MOLLY HAD BABIES 5 DAYS AGO SO I GOT SOME FLOATING PLANTS FOR THEM TO HIDE, I DON'T KNOW IF THE PLANTS WERE INFECTED WITH PARASITES OR WHAT, BUT ALL MY FISH GOT WHITE SPOTS NOW, EVEN THE BABIES AND IS HEARTH BROKEN BECAUSE I SEE THEM HITTING THEIR BODY AGAINST THE PLANTS AND I KNOW THEY ARE INFECTED TOO...DO YOU THINK THEY'LL SURVIVE THE TREATMENT? I HAVE TO WAIT UNTILL TOMORROW TO BUY THE MED CAUSE I JUST NOTICED IT AND ITS LATE... I DON'T WANT TO GIVE UP ON THEM =(

  • yur fish had ick, its a fungus that grows on them and eventuaaly they die. my betta just recently had it and he died on me. yu can get a tablet that dissolves in the water and is supposedly goin to help. and fake plants are exactly what caused it. next time make sure yu wash the plant very throughly, i kno i sure will:)

  • @dixiebelle93 ick is mainly caused by major temperature changes I don't see how adding new plants into the tank will cause it because it is just plastic you know...

  • i have a really small tank...like a bowl. i have no filters or anything. i bought my fish pregnant, and there's another fish with it (just a goldfish so im not really concerned). what do i do? could i just keep them all together, or separate the babies into a different bowl?

  • @myplus18yearsaccount Molly needs at least 1 Gallon per fish, and needs 72F +, Gold fish is cold water, and carries high volume of germs and virus....... New fry not easy to survive in your tank, mother molly becomes weaker after giving birth to youth......

  • @myplus18yearsaccount dude get a practical tank seriously!

  • @fishygal88 that was a long time ago...i have a whole tank set up now...

  • what is the first food you give to the fry?

  • @jainahable normal fish flakes, grounded up into powder.

  • How did you get the algae to grow?

  • @Natetrix1995 It grows naturally after the tank runs for a few months.

  • @Natetrix1995 deppendds on ur filtration man if its not so good ur water might get dirty b 4 the algae grows make sure u have good filtration and it will start growing after 1 month and 2 weeks - 2 months

  • @Natetrix1995 Lights . . . Lots of Lights :)

  • i have the same breeder box if the mom when the v thing is in. if she pops or food goes to the bottom you just lift it out of the water for a second all the stuff will come out.

  • Is it a good set up?

  • @GhillieSniper115 , may be better setups available, but those fish need 1-2 tbl spoon salt / gallon, hard to have plants.

  • @argoby I had mollies and they didn't need salt. And I ment the birthing chamber btw, how much does one cost?

  • @GhillieSniper115, bleeder tank from Walmart, Canada, $5.

  • Hi, I don't know if I keep the fry in a tank with each other will that reduce their size?

  • @bugsd4 , fish will grow bigger in a larger tank.

  • i love ur fish, but may i ask how come my black molly fries die alot? i mean i have about 20 fries and each day about 3-4 fries die, and now i end up having 5 fries in the tank. Please help me :(

  • @Mwuah191, survival rate is slim, may be too much chemical in the tap water, try rain water instead?

  • @argoby thanks for ur reply argoby, i'll try some rain water next time!

  • im thinking on breeding these mollys for my pleasure lol. and probably make profit as well as food for my oscars. mollies are pretty expensive ive had some myself but never intented breeding them any ways my point is WILL THEY EAT THERE OWN BABIES IF I DONT SEE THE FRY IN TIME TOO MOVE THEM

  • how did algae form there?

Can I make a nursery at home?

Is there any water flow between the nursery?

Because I live in India I dont get all these Aquarium facilities.

    Please help me out.

  • @Prashmash, once the tank runs for a few months with proper sun light/ aquarium light, it will grow naturally, if you use net type nursery, better water flow than my clear plastic one. If you hv plants or rocks for fry to hide its still be okay, keep the mind the survival ratio of those fry into adult fish is slim. good luck.

  • @argoby Thanks a lot for Your cooperation!!

  • hey, my molly just had 9 babies and they are currently in a breeder box. They are only a day old at the moment but i was just wondering when do they start to show ther colour? any other care tips what be a great help thanks :)

  • @tree0trunk They'll start to show color when they're about half an inch long :)

  • hey, my molly just had 9 babies and they are currently in a breeder box. They are only a day old at the moment but i was just wondering when do they start to show ther colour? any other care tips what be a great help thanks :)

  • hey i have 2 lyertail black mollies...1 of them keeps swimming below the other nudging her or somehting...and the 1 above is fatter than the other u think its pregnent?

  • @TheDogh8ter, Usually yes, but make sure the gender of the fish, if the anal fin is a fan like its a female, if that is a stick like its a male.

  • hey how much is your setup there and where did you get it

  • that's Nano cube 10gl, I paid CAD$250 with stand, heater, gravel and chemicals. I think its cheaper in USA.

  • hey how do you get the extra flow in there? I want to do that since the holes alone don't provide much circulation.

  • @TropicalAquarium a rubber tubing connected from a powerhead outflow

  • one questino how many mollies are in there and what gallon is that? becuasae i need to know jow many mollies cn be in a 10 galon tank

  • that's a 10 gallon tank, they live longer @ 5 gallon / adult fish ratio.

  • @argoby heck, i have two black molies(one famale pregnant).with a scum sucker.one feeder fish(was very first fish just to get water dirty but he is a miracle)with 4 zebra danios in a 30 gallon tank...

  • i love it

  • what do youi do if you breed to many? lol feed them to other fish?

  • lol i just had mine and theyre a pain in the ass to catch

  • oh watching this vid made me miss my lil Jetta....she was a black molly she died a few days ago.....

  • @nina20021 aww i am so sorry for your loss. may she rest in the little fish bowl in the sky!!!

  • those black mollys in the breeder tank seem big enough to go in the main tank or am i wrong because if you keep them in there to long they will die

  • @jeremydierx true

  • QUESTION!!: um, how do you get the baby cage at the top of the tank? and where do you get them?? please reply!!

  • that was from Walmart, under $5

  • @argoby Thank you! i really needed one! and do baby fish need a filteR??

  • not sure your tank setup, but I hv a small tube of water stream generated from a powerhead

  • how did you get the algae to grow in the breeder

  • can tell you really take care of ur mollies dancing in joy when they see you ^^

  • how can tell if male or female?

  • Males will have a pointy anal fin, while females will have a, bigger, fan shaped anal fin. You can also watch them. Males will chase females.

  • please how to breed a blue molly blue color long fins please how

  • hi i dont breed mollies but i am soon i have 3 babys now due to not knowing my molly was preg i bought her 1 day defore to droped i just put algae wafers in the when they get soft they just eat them up 1 wafer for 1 mollie it lasts about a mouth

  • I've had baby molly fry and the older fish don't bother the fry, it depends on the differen't fish I guess, I've had two litters and they haven't been botherd, perhaps if they're very tiny they'll be chased but not alway's, and as well, baby fish are born with survival tactics.

  • How is your water so clear? I want some algae to grow on the sides for my snails and baby mollies but it gets cloudy and never grows on the sides. Also my filter is so powerful the fish are almost shot around but if i have a weak filter it will get worse. HElp me!

  • How long you hv your aquarium settled? 3-6 months? Will you consider to add an under gravel filter?

  • i've had my aqaurium settled for about 2 months but i do a 25% water change about once every other week. also. an underwaterfilter doesnt give the tank any circulation does it?

  • try givin it 4 weeks before every water change..n i kno wot u mean about the filter, the fish just go flying if they go near it..bles them!

  • how to get algae in aquarium

  • aged a few months and under constant light, no salt, algae came naturally!

  • you need to put the swimmin fry into a breeding trap for security on them, cause the adult mollies will eat them if not careful!!

  • lol sad tank you need more plants for those stray babies swimming around

  • airborneVass94 - its a female birthing tank u bloody muppet

  • lolllllll i jus burst out laughing when i read that lol

  • add some males
