  • The 426 hemi, was officially rated at 425bhp for insurance purposes in 1970, but thr real bhp figure was closer to 550bhp, and over 500 foot of torgue. in 1970 Road and Track magazine, took a 426 challenger with 4sp and 3.54 gears and racked up a top speed of 156mph and 0-60 in 4.2 secs witha quarter mile time of 12.56 secs.
