This is an XC, Max's was a XB, the model before, with a custom fibre glass nose cone.

We spent time in Silverton a few years back, and the Mundi Mundi plain(where Max is watching the compounds in MM2) was spectacular!! The area is so vast and empty that you can almost see the curvature of the earth, and yeah, if Mad Max has anywhere to call home, Silverton and surrounds is it!!

It has to be remembered that parts from XA, XB and XC coupes are very interchangeable; if you can ignore the mechanical linkage on the XA's throttle, and the rear side indicators on the XA, every other mod is a bolt-on job

It's still a bad ride! I used to be a Pursuit Cop in the Shores in Daytona in the eighties, with my .357 Ruger revolver (+p ammo) (and how quaint is that six shooter, now?), driving the old Plymouth Fury III's, which would move out... and wearing that old black leather jacket... I would LOVE to have had that ride chasing down speeders going 10-31 out of the city! Those were the days!

that looks like an XB to me the movie car was heavily modded the front facia was different than this car as a matter of fact it changed from the first movie to a different looking front end in the second one this was close enough i want it!

The black coupe is actually a XC coupe falcon 500 with a 351 cleveland (5.8L) engine mildley worked and a GXL dash with XA coupe tail lights. It sat in a front yard in a lane way in broken hill for a number of years then was later sold to the publican for a show car to take off mad max's car which was a XB GT coupe with a 351 and a fake blower attached...... but still all these cars are nice that were brought out and they all look great even standard......

@davidmemb No it's phillip island everyone knows that. HQ was the old PMG in Melbourne City. MM1 was filmed around Melbourne, seaford, altona etc.

MM2 was out @ Silverton.
