  • there i did it wheres my cookie

  • I think I figured it out! Infared sensor! Those shiny things on the sensor bar have infared lights in them! The black thing on the wii remote is the only thing that sees those lights! It uses any two lights as a sensor!

  • thanks dude, works fine for me

  • will this work with a plasma or flatscreen ?

  • @LegomationProduction It should. I can't remember if it I tried it or not.

  • candies aren't free

  • @whothq18 You don't have candles laying around your house?

  • @whothq18 Amen, no such thing as a free lunch.

  • Is there ANY way i can do this without setting two candles on fire? I don't want to mess up my TV. Plz reply.

  • @Rorintosh No you have to light the candles. They don't have to be too close to the TV so you wont damage it.

  • awsome

  • holy shit this actually works!

  • What Kind of sorcery is this! !!

  • we are one step closer to getting the amish to play wii

  • @DaHackr0 lol.

  • @DaHackr0 hahahahaha

  • omg this is amazing gr8 invention wireless 2 cant ask for much more lol

  • @psxdc64 the candles are just for infared sensing

  • Nice candles!I like their colour! ^O^

  • Good stuff my man, you are smart. I wonder how simple things work but when the box is closed it all seems mysterious. Thank you :)

  • Is this true?

because my sensor bar is broken.... the cable was cut and I'm dying to try this.... please reply for those who tried it...

  • @psxdc64 But the sensor bar is just sending out infrared light. It si not taking in data. The wiiremote is coneckted to the wii using bluetooth thats wy it vorks :D

  • I thought it said "the Hebrew Channel" at first...

  • HOW DOES THIS WORK ??!! SOMEBODY ANSWER MEE PLEASE

  • @2000davis171 the wii sensor bar is ONLY a couple of infrared LED lights. The cable going to the wii only supplies power to the sensor bar, it doesn't communicate with the wii AT ALL.

There is a infrared camera in the Wiimote that picks up ALL infrared light. It uses the infrared LEDs in the sensor bar to orient itself.

The candles are essentially acting as the infrared LEDs in the sensor bar, and the infrared camera in the wiimote picks up the candles.

  • Just to explain for the dumb ppl.

The sensor bar is connected to the Wii for it to emit light, the wii mote detects that light and sends to the wii its position..

The candle emits light too, because fire IS an energy, so it does not need to be connected to the wii.

  • @UchihaHemerly well aren't we the snarky one, speaking as one who knows why it works. who the hell do you think you are because most people have actual lives and don't sit around playing with toys as a substitute for a girl friend does not make them dumb, quite the opposite ad to that the unknown age of the person asking and you come off as not only a loser but also a deuchebag

  • That's really handy since for some reason we have a bag full of those candles. Now I just need a WiiMote and a USB bluetooth dongle.

  • @blainyrules same here man...

  • Good video. Just wanted to let you know, the spacing of the IR doesn't make that much of a difference (in fact, the whole point of it is that the position is relative to two points). I upgraded to a 60" flat screen earlier this year and was having tracking problems with my Wii and Top Shot Elite light rifle. Had some IR leds in my junk box, wired 2 sets in series and placed them at the top corners of my tv... tracking restored.

  • Is it the light or the heat that the remote is reacting to?

  • Have not tryed yet cant do it without permission ( im 12 ) ( my wire got cut ) but i think if it works , it would be really good if you're going to play MKWii ( Mario Kart Wii ) Because you only need it for like ( ABOUT ) 2-4mins MAX , so im going to try it later and let you all know!!

  • @rune450rune steal your parents' matches

  • I'll explain to those idiots who say you hacked your wii and you are fake and phoney.

Basicly the wii sensor bar has 2 led lights (maybe more im not sure) and is connected to the wii for power its like a tv remote. 2 candles just picks up the signal you people who say crap like he's fake are retards.

  • @TB1337TM Basically, he was saying is that the the sensor bar only acts as an infrared. It has 5(?) led lights on each side. The Wii Remote detects the lights emitted from the sensor bar to indicated where the remote is. That is the role of the candles - to act as replacement for those infrareds.

  • @psxdc64 the sensor bar isn't even connected to the wii as far as data goes. the wii just powers the infrared LEDs in the sensor bar, which can be replicated by candles or buying your own IR LEDs and powering them with some batteries.

  • this dosent work for me :(

  • @elitotaku it does work for everybody but the candles need to be in right position.

  • @psxdc64 It is because the Wii remotes are connected to the Wii via Bluetooth.

  • @ipodvi The only reason that the sensor bar is connected to the console is because it needs power to turn on the LEDs

  • it works

  • How does this work? I can't understand how candles can work as a sensor bar.

  • @TheLolifish they emit a small amount of Infra Red light

  • Witcher!!! O.o

  • no this is not hacking the wii remote uses infared rays witch the sensor bar makes but you can it because of the smooth pannel in the front but what the sensor bar does is mokes those rays to make the wii remote sence them the candals have infared rays thats why the wii remote connect to the candle

  • homebrew channel FTW!!!

  • dude we all see the homebrew chanell

  • cool

  • I can't wait for someone to actually try this.

  • @pastrykiller Well if you don't believe this then you're incredibly stupid. The candles emit a small amount of scattered IR light which the wii remote detects just as it does with the sensor bar. It may be be perfectly the same but it shows the basis on the wii remote works, IR light.

  • u hacked ur wii

  • @jrneulight What makes you say that?

  • @ipodvi the homebrew channel

  • @ipodvi The homebrew channel you have on your menu :P

  • @ipodvi homebrew

  • @ipodvi Homebrew

  • @ipodvi lol homebrew channel, probably.... lmao

  • @jrneulight Learn your shit before you say stuff, the wii mote looks for infered lights, which is all the senser bar puts out. the candles do the same thing. RESEARCH YOUR SHIT BITCH

  • @fishyer777 wtf did i say

  • 5,555 views? woah

    !

  • my sensor broke perfect thanx!!

  • I think two pieces of carbonite, spaced about a foot away from each other would work better =D

  • Aooh now thats wat im talking about!!

  • i use scented candles. it kinda makes the room smell nice as well. ^^

  • can i just use 2 flash flights and put them next to each other with a bit of space between each other instead of using candles?

  • @WiiWalk No not unless they are IR lights.

  • dude i dont use a lighter and dont have a match can sumone tell me how to do it without candles???

  • OK this is how it works the bar that comes with the wii has two leds like this . .

and what he has done is changed it so it is the same so . . it will work but don't do it with fire

    hope this helps

  • @niallstechzone wow ur smart

  • This isn't free at all :O CANDLES COST MONEY. Just pointing out your wrongness.

  • @TheNewkylet567 1: who doesn't have candles laying around their house? and 2 I'm just trying to show off something cool.

  • @TheNewkylet567 yes,but the candles cost less of a sensor bar,or not?

  • now make a wii out of wood :D

  • im suspicious about that white cable on the back oft he wii on the usb port

  • @gamer9548 its for charging controlers

  • if you have a plasma you dont need a sensor bar or candels :)

  • are you sure I have a plasma and I needed a sensor bar.

  • @vjstudio that's big bullshit

  • my friend code is6484-6677-0105-9484

  • for what game? u idiot lol jk

  • wow, for some reason my tv does it without candles. anyway was ur freind code? ill add u.
