I met the legendary Mr. Ellington “Fuji” Jordan last night at the Etta James farewell in Los Angeles; Fuji is going back in rehearsals in Detroit with his band, Black Merda, for a forthcoming tour!!! Etta recorded Fuji’s “Blind Man,” rendered as her hit “I’d Rather Go Blind.” I hit Fuji up with so many questions, what happened to his unreleased albums on Cadet/Chess and 20th Century Records; Europe gets the Fuji tour first so y’all get ready, we gotta get the word out worldwide: Fuji is back!!!
I have a version of this song, but it's not this version. It just says "Fugi_NoBadTrips". It's the same song, but seems more like 70's. Anyone who know what that could be?
He was a Pro Black activist with a vision he wanted the Black woman to have a song to stand be hind her Black Men of the Time ! "only you can make me slip " God Bless the song writers who expressed there self even when it was Dangerous to do so !
this is original urban metal. yes, all attitude. it's a shame that young blacks are so ignorant of masters like fugi, eddie hazel, luth & bern allison to name a few. listen to the guitars. may BET die in hell for being so narrow minded and greedy. BBAS you RULE !!
You can buy the song on iTunes and sometimes the album/LP on Amazon and/or eBay. And, oh yeah, they do be DOPE! This song always reminds me of my first wife - but I STILL love it.
