  • the picture at :16 and :41 are the same thing

  • I suffered from excessive hair loss from stress, heat, & color. I'm willing to do w/e it takes to grow it back though meaning NO heat, relaxers, etc. What did you do to get your hair so long? What did you NOT do? What type of foods are good for hair? Yours is beautiful, btw. Please respond. Thank you!

  • @Sheyanne3991 Hey hun im so sorry you had to go through that im on a hair journey myself and I can help you out.. :)..you need a simple regimen and you need to love and care for your hair and give it time to come back dont rush it because it will take forever that way there is a website called hairlista you should sign up because its a lot of great info you can use if you need more info about the regimen feel free to msg me anytime :)

  • @jazziejay0918 No there are envious hair stylist that will trim an excessive amount of hair off of healthy long hair because they covet it. My sister hasn't gone back to beauy shops do to it.

  • OMG i went through the same thing. My hair was down my back, I went to a stylist that i dont usually go to. she mentioned I needed a trim so i said u kno ok dats fine. When she was finished my hair was up to my shoulders and I was sooo upset that I just stopped taking care of my hair cause I spent so much time taking care of it and growing it. But watching this inspired me so I'm gona have a go at it again. Thanx.

  • YES SOOO INSPIRATIONAL...... ITS ONLY BEEN 5 MONTHS FOR ME.... YEA

  • You are very pretty...

Thanks 4 showing pics of the ladies with natural hair in the end. My hair is natural and I was just wondering what I could do with it so that I wouldn't get fed-up but showing those beautiful women with natural hair has given me a real boost.

  • Best wishes on your natural hair journey. I personally think you're gorgeous and will look beautiful with afro, straight, curly, long, short, whatever you decide.

But I think being natural is amazing, better for your health, better for the environment, better all around.

  • @Denisehealthnut thank you :)

  • Very inspiring video. Thanks for sharing. I am going to cut my long relaxed off too....very soon. So excited to be going natural as well. We can do this. Be patient :0)

  • wow, what a journey lol... you came full circle and are now going for another round:)

  • @MUN3KA601 - a bigger circle this time

  • Awesome :)

  • Wow! I loved this video, what a brave thing to do, you look so stunning with straight AND curly hair, and if you could achieve long healthy hair when it was relaxed, with time and haircare knowledge you're so gonna get there. So exciting! I also REALLY love those pics at the end that you said youd like to achieve in 2 years, do you know where i can find some of those images? Id love to print them out for support. Thanks

  • @kefad83 - i googled most of them and found others on natural hair websites like lecoil

  • You're hair is gorgeous, and your inspiration pics are great. I could really see you rocking those hairstyles. Stay encouraged :-)

  • i love your makeup...can yu do a tutorial on that.. n wow i cant believe yu cut your hair it was really long. But you really preety with your hair short.

  • you looked GREAT with the short natural. don't grow it.

  • totally off topic --you have a lovely back! :)....this vid is very inspriational...

  • how inspirational! i'm at neck length now and striving to be at apl by next yr....i will watch this video to stay motivated....u look great with short and natural too :)

  • this is so inspirational btw i just had my big chop 2 days ago...i'm excited

  • woooow from jan - nov 2007 your hair grew a lot for 10 months....it looks more than 1/2 inch per month like people say is the average

  • omg wow!! u got some balls girl!!! i had a hard time cutting my hair off and ure relaxed hair was three times as long as mine!! but its so worth it cant wait to see how much your hair grows when u reach ure goal!!

  • i love your hair! it's very inspiring :)

btw 1:18 zoey 101 in the back, just saying

  • how much hair did you let grow out befor the big cut?

  • @lorae818 i'm sorry i don't understand your question

  • @bambiix2 I'm thinking about cuting my hair. But I have to let my hair grow some because all of my hair is premed. And I was wondering how much did you let your hair grow befor cutting off the premed hair? My mom told me it would take me a year befor I can cut it. And I hope it doesn't take that long.

  • @lorae818 ohhh three months

  • wow!..how'd u get u're hair to grow so long???

  • wut did u do 2 grow ur hair

  • u look so classy with short hair!!!

  • your pretty any way you wear your hair!

  • your hair in jan 08 was so pretty like that!

  • WOW! you're beautiful. cant wait to see your BIG hair! hopefully it wont be too long from now!

  • i love this video because how you kept changing, i tried going natural for about three/four months it didn't work out, my hair grew, but the stylist said its best i get relaxers because my natural hair is curly, and i don't comb my hair alot or do anything, and it wasn't good caouse im tender headed so i should get a relaxer i can wear it down with out tangles

but i hope you accomplish your dream :)

  • @TipRockaFeller I think that you should try going natural. believe me when i say that you wont regret it.

  • @TipRockaFeller ... oh ... I'm really not suprised at what your stylist said, Most stylists would say that in my opinion. Anyways, I do not comb my hair either...the last and only time a comb has been through my hair since my big chop was in my Three month Detangling Vid. I do not like playing in my hair and like you I am tender headed. But I was not born with a relaxer in my head or in my hand so I'm dealing with what I have tangles or not. I will accomplish my dreams thank you :)

  • You have beautiful hair then and now. Best of luck on your natural hair journey- it gets better :-)

  • lol some guys jus dont understand how women feel bout their hair when its time for a change

  • @ karmaJUNKEE what is 3c or 4a is it the colour of her hair or the length or what i just curious?

  • @damii007 it's like hair texture. 3 hair is generally looser and 4 is tighter. I like them both, but 4 hair is always fierce to me. =D

  • Wow you are so brave to cut your hair when it was really long, I dont know if i could of done that. I admire your determination for natural hair. I wish you well on your journey. Happy growing :) i bet your hair will grow back quickly your hair seems to grow fast

  • You're Beautiful with short and long hair.

  • Wow what products did you use in your hair and how far apart were your relaxers before you transitioned??

  • @MzAwsomeness2345 I listed what products I used somewhere below and i relaxed twice a year

  • ahhhh! I just subscribed! I LOVED how your inspiration pics had type 4ish hair. My hair is mostly 3c with a patch of 4a, but I loveeeee 4a, b, and c hair. It just looks so thick and fluffly. haha. Most people's inspiration photos are 3's and while they are nice sometimes, it bugs me to see people only looking at one type of hair.

  • @karmaJUNKEE thank you , I like to keep it real with myself .. it is apparent that I do not have those big curls like some women have in their inspiration photos , so I try to go for the women with very tight curls - which I have

  • wtf how did ur hair get so long

  • @IloveCupcakesandTea now you know that if she was a white woman with long hair you wouldnt even have asked her "HOW DID YOUR HAIR GET SO LONG?". how typical you pathetic loser.

  • @MzCloey16 what the hell are u talking about my comment or question had nothing to do with race ur the pathetic loser

  • @IloveCupcakesandTea I took care of it

  • Im sure your bf got over that because its just hair it will grow back, haha. Your hair is pretty long or short, but I would be too afraid to cut my hair, Im obsessed with having it longer like to BSL.

  • TWA and BAA? what does that mean? I've never relaxed or permed my hair before and I have short shoulder length hair, it's medium curly. I've bleached it twice and it's now bright red, and I straighten it almost daily and now I've been so inspired to just let my curly hair be and embark on a hair journey myself. :] thank you so much this video helped me

  • beautiful~~

  • ~Wow i cant believe a hair stylist would do tht smh... but ur hair still looked cute lol...

  • Not to take anything away from your long hair, but you look AMAZING with your short natural hair, much much better!

  • love it!!!

  • Wow. You are gorgeous. You can pull off ANY style!

  • Wow... what a dramatic difference. I love the TWA on you though. I am so curious; what did your boyfriend say?

  • Please tell me what protective style you used for your ends.

like my problem is preserving my ends. and like if i dont my hair sheads i recently went through with the biig chop.

  • @butterflybo012 cornrows and buns

  • Love the makeup. That took alot of courage and I'm truly impressed. The standards of beauty make it hard to do something like that.

  • your hair was beautiful long...y did u cut it?...what products did u use to get it that long?

  • @phasionist - I cut it because I was bored . I used - Glycerin and water mix,

Care Free Curl Gold, Hollywood Beauty Olive Creme, Cream of Nature Detangling Shampoo ( discontinued ) and Organic Roots Stimulator conditioner

  • @bambiix2 o ok i mite have to get some of those product..but wat is glycerin and water mix??

  • wel damn what products did u use in it in wen u were going natural? can u make a video on that

  • @msravenc - Do you mean while I was transitioning ?

  • @bambiix2 yea

  • @msravenc ORS Foaming Lotion and Care Free Curl Gold Activator (also my glycerin mix)

  • i love your make up

  • what was your regimen before your bc

  • wow i was very entertained by your journey, and u have a very nice bod

  • if your boyfriend wasn't pleased, then that's his fault. He shouldn't get mad because you want to grow natural hair!

  • Well I know you problay get asked this alot, but what was your regimen?

  • @optimisticsmiles1

washed and deep conditioned once a week. moisturised twice a day .. EVERYDAY. Did not comb my hair like ever. Hardly used heat. Relaxed my hair twice or three times a year. Kept my hair in protective hairstyles and low mani hairstyles like plaits , cornrows and buns..these helped me from combing too. I also didn't brush my hair alot. I left my hair alone and let it do it's thing. I also took a gummy multivitamin, one 5 mg biotin and one iron tablet per day

  • i have to say honestly from the heart i can understand your boyfreinds attitude -your hair was healthy, beautiful and long -something that a lot of black women strive for and without proper research dont get

but then you cut your hair you have a pretty face with delicate features so your face fits the short style- i was a little ignorent or niave but i too am more conforming to the natural look - although im soo not ready to go there now - i eventually will return to my roots lol goodluck

  • @onlinebabeful - i'm glad you are considering going back to your roots. You don't have to be ready this year or even next year. The whole fact that you plan to return to it is what matters. When you are ready you will know. (And yeh .. i could see why he would have been upset too ..sometimes i feel bad for springing it on him ..but then again NOT lol)

  • what were you using to grow out ur hair..because im trying to regrow my hair..i decided to stop putting weave in my hair.

  • @gomez8687 washed and deep conditioned once a week. moisturised twice a day ..

  • Your eye makeup is amazing in some of these!

  • All I have to say is thank you. I was anxious and excited about starting the natural hair process and soon got discouraged by my twa and lack of hairstyle options. But I will continue to take care of my hair and have patience. Thank you.... I needed that. :)

  • @TaiRowland - the twa can get a bit boring on some days but before you know it it starts growing right before your eyes and then you start to miss it alot lol

  • Patience IS Progress!! Enjoyed your hairstyles throughout the journey period you captured! I agree w/ your statement, if lengths can be retained permed, let's see what lengths are retained natural! I also love the versatility of natural: curly, kinky, coily OR straightened!

Giirrll, I HATED when my permed hair was touched or had the potentional to "get messed up" *wink*. Now I don't care! *smile*

Beautiful journey, love the goal pix at the end!

    Blessings always!

  • hmmmph

  • u said ur boyfriend wasnt pleased, u didnt mention if he was still around lol

  • @honeyebby lol of course he is still around. If we broke up because I cut my hair then our relationship must have sucked to begin with . He is actually one of the first people that I plan to interview for the Reactions to Natural hair thingie

  • big question.... has nttn to do wit hair though.... how did u achieve thank make up look your wearin with the pic with your protective style?

  • @XhijahG2 - I patted on black shimmery shadow all over the lid and winged it out at the end beyond the lid. Then I applied a black pencil liner to the bottom water line and I added mascara and voila !

  • @bambiix2

    thanks for the info

  • You look great with long and short hair. I love your curly texture. From what I've seen, its not going to take 2 years for your hair goals, seems like you have good retention.

  • Oh and what you aiming for, i know you will get there :)

  • I am sooooo proud of you. You have long beautiful hair and you decided to do a bc. wooow you have courage. I have just started my journey to go natural but too scared to do the bc. I hope you do not go back to relaxed and hope you stay natural. Relaxed or natural you are still beautiful. This is my favorite hair journey video.

  • @unknowndcp Thank you . Do not be scared to do the bc . When you are ready you will know it, and the end results will make you feel like you have made the best choice in the world . Do not let anyone deter you or force you into doing it. it is your hair and you have to feel comfortable okie ?

  • ur twa is too cute on you..enjoy ur natural hair journey!

  • This is a very nice video. I love your TWA by the way. :-)

  • your skin is georgeous

  • Such an inspiration!. So how did your boyfriend feel about your bigchop?

  • @NiaBoo812 he did not speak to me about it for a week ... i often caught him staring at it when he thought I wasn't looking .But he admitted to me that he liked it (minus my werewolf nape). Now his hands are always in it ... boinging my curls and messing them up (if u know what i mean). He never played in my relaxed hair that can get fixed in two seconds , but now is always in my twa that can get lopsided lol

  • what song is this??

  • congratulation!

  • TESTIFY!!!!!!

  • i dont see the difference from the hairstylist cutting and before can someone explain?

  • OMG I REEAAALLY ADMIRE YOU!!! reasons:1) you grew your hair sooo long then cut it off. 2) your hair looks awsome anyway you have it. 3) when i had a perm i could never take care of it so it always broke off.. which wasn't good X3... . ^.^.

  • short hair flatters your face soooo well :D

  • u r so brave and inspirational. all I could say when Ifinished watching was WoW. I dunno if I could ever do a big chop after growing my hair for so long and thats why Ireally admire you. x

  • @baby2o6 thank you ... To be honest , i was sick of growing my hair ... i think i was more sick of growing my hair straight than anything else, since I knew I could get the length , I now wanted to see if I could gain it while being natural . Starting over from the very beginning

  • Girl i loooove your hair! And the short natural look Looks beautiful on you!

  • Does your hair have a tendency to grow really fast? I still can't believe it! In four months you went from neck length to my length (when wet). . . . .I wish my hair grew that fast =(

  • @imcrazy534 - no it grows really slowly . So i started taking a gummy multivitamin , biotin and iron .. just to ensure my body gets a couple nutrients. And then i deep conditioned and moisturised the ISH out of my hair .. so i wouldn't have to trim it to get rid of non existent split ends

  • your so beautiful!!! :(

  • I love your hair...beautiful...I have all natural below the neck length dry, but I am inching to do a TWA.....I just think it looks so cute.

  • @cowgirldefrost twa's are nice - but style options are a bit limited (i love mine though :))

  • you're my hair and make up role model...i wanna be cool like you

  • @Deathchild18 lol im such a loser - don't ever want to be like me !

  • I love your video! Including your hair! It's beautiful either way! :-) be encouraged! :-)

  • @tishiab thankss

  • 2:24 your make-up looked amazing

  • @ohxchummy thanksss

  • so the hair was sort of a security blanket but you wanted to feel good without it ? youre soo brave wow - pleasee pm mee with the deets x

  • @xanthy2000 in a way but not really ... i felt pretty with it ... but i didn't like it .Right now with my natural hair i have never had a bad hair day. But with my long straight hair .. if i ever had a bad hair day .. i felt ugly and didn't want to go out. So ... i chopped it all off and i and i was happy .. will pm u in a few
