If you want it to last longer, sand in between coats lightly... and painting should be done outside on a sunny day so the paint can stick better with the sun light. That's if you don't want your room to stink up, opening the window can only do so much LOL
@DemoncChivas This is an aluminum marker. Most of the new ones are.. Just make sure you read your paints can, it should say a list of acceptable materials. If you want to use paint that doesn't list metal or aluminum I suggest don't.
@walkthroughguy88 No but it's tough to match different paint types, so it's better to paint your base color with the same paint you use for the stripe. That way it all looks uniform.
sticky? no, it might stick it together.. but not sticky. once you pull the trigger a few times it would break off and would be fine. But I suggest tape to cover it..
It is quite scratch resistant, if you have a polished finish you'll want to use a fine sandpaper or scotchbright to give the paint a good texture to stick to. I use Krylon.
yes. any finished surface you will want to sand or scotchbright to give the paint a texture to stick to, this marker I didn't need to, because it was already textured..
Any markers that are previously painted will need to be sanded (or scotchbrighted) to rough up the finish, this will help the new paint stick.. If it's just matte anodized (like this marker was) then you don't need to. smooth anodized markers should also be sanded/scotchbrighted
oo that is kewl i was gona get one but i got a-5 instead , i only wish it had the fire mode selector switch instead of the stupid whole in the grip lol

Wat do I have to plug on my x7
Patrickpaintball24 8 months ago
@Patrickpaintball24 You might want to take it apart and simply paint the two halves. Then you can tape over some of the insides and stuff.
milkshakebubbley 3 months ago
@Patrickpaintball24 Anything you don't want paint in.

great video man ! quick question though would it be better if u took ur gun apart and painted piece my piece cuz i wanna paint my ion
23Trainer 2 years ago
Well yes and no, It would be better cause you wouldn't have to mask off the aras you don't want paint to get in to, You would just remove them.
But it would be almost impossible to match the pattern up if you paint it in pieces.

will the paint cause the trigger mechanism to get sticky?

Ok so do not spay the barrel what about the stock
fds584 2 years ago
You can do the barrel too, just plug the ends and stuff it so paint doesn't run in the porting. Paint the stock too if you want.
