This was (and is) one of the best cameras ever made by Sony. I still use my F828. This camera has a great lens and the night shot mode is also very usefull.
BTW: It was the first camera on the market that came with 8 Mega pixels in 2003.

The camera takes great shots in optimum conditions. Unfortunately, it has several key faults that preclude it from being a great camera.
The absurd levels of CA in high contrast shots and the total uselessness of ISO 400 and especially 800.
Ideally, if you're shooting with a tripod and a CP filter, ISO64, and avoiding high contrasts then you'll get amazing photos.
