@mayday303 late febuary...they have a facebook page that posts about blog updates...they been working/finished working on getting punkbuster to run smoothly whereas it failed on the first release cause tey never beat tested the PB client....long story short...hackers should be almost a thing of the past however, people claiming hackers are everywhere will ocntinue sadly XD

@T123H123 punkbuster is still fallible, as I've seen in Call of Duty 4. It may be stable come Reloaded but unless they stay up to date with it, and have GMs to monitor the game, hackers will still be a threat.

@mayday303 It wouldnt have been bad buisness if they would have advertised this game a lot more. They barely showed an ad for this game to the world and thats the main reason it purely failed. i wish it didnt it waas one of my fav games ever

@100burnout Yeah i heard that, BUT, the reason i played past the max rating was to acquire more weapons that i could use in the future, also i'm pretty sure that MANY players will be hacking now because they have nothing to lose.

I DO miss APB more and more, but after Civ5/MoH/GT5/CoD:BO i think i will be plenty entertained over xmas :D

But it was my idea to keep visiting APB back once in a while just to try the patches, that's what's exciting about subscription games.

Fan. Fucking. Tastic. And just yesterday, they were telling us "Hey, we're gonna fix the game a bit more!"

I'm not certain anyone cares, but you ought to know I'm feeling very depressed. This was a fun game. A very, very fun game. Sure, it had its bad parts, but all in all, I loved it. There has never been an MMO like it before, and I fear there won't be one again.

There is a slim, slim chance of some good news, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

The game content or all the hackers had nothing to do with the incredibly bad business the RTW bosses did during the development.

And i bet THEY GOT PAID, while others went without pay and we got 3 months of fun.

Now i played since early beta, so i got MORE then my monies worth, especially since i paid my subscription with ingame earned rtw points.

5 years for creating this game and it doesnt even take 3 months to shut it down. They failed to listen to the people and get rid of all the dam hackers and this is what happend. I wasted about 70 bucks total on the game and 2 months of play. It was fun when it started untill the hackers ruined everything. I'll never purchase another RTW game ever again in my life.

Yes i blame the business model. It came out to like 150€ +/- to play for a year. You could buy like god knows how many games for that much.

@vikingbabo I guess the game failed because people like me who really wanted some sort of GTA MMO ended up not buying the game because of all the cheaters, lack of content, and terrible car physics. The NA Beta seemed like a great alpha though, and the most recent patch probably would have made a decent beta. RTW was always just one stage behind.

@killingdj0 Administrators which were in no way affiliated with RTW were unable to save APB or sell it off to a 3rd party which means it now belongs to the creditors.

It has nothing to do with the game itself, it was brilliant and making money!
