Thanks for letting me drive in your car . Was stationed in Katterbach ’82-’83, and enjoyed my time there. Looks like the weather hasn’t changed. My time in Ansbach inspired my book The Ten Phases of Ansbach (Amazon Kindle). I can wait to take my family back there some day. I wonder if my favorite dance club is still in Rohr? Surprisingly good bands!
Nonsense Marzil, your video IS interesting! You recorded what using what appears to be normal driving speed. This allows us to feel more the reality and offers good opportunity to really see and absorb the the passing scenery. Excellent for a first effort!
This is exactly the kind of video i've been looking for!
this is Awesome!
like half the people posting here, i was stationed in Shipton Kaserne and lived in Ansbach for 3 y. thanks so much for posting this, dont ever take it off, please.
and thanks for leaving the radio on, it provides for a better nostalgic experience.
still looks beautiful, i miss biking (cycling) through these streets on holidays.
I miss germany so much! My freind lived there in Kotterbach, and I lived in Bamberg. I miss those cold rainy drives to nurnberg Furth. OMG! This reminds me of those dark snowy nights to the WON lmao lol
WOW!! The street you started on was the same street my girlfriend lived on, probably at the house right across the street from where you started. I was with the Army on Shipton from 01-05. This is the best video on Youtube I have ever seen. I am filled with nonstalgia from watching this!! I would do ANYTHING just to go back to Ansbach for a day, I miss it so much. I actually have the city crest tattooed to the my left calf. Thank you so very much for posting!!! This is definitely a favorite now!
How about a video of Ansbach to Katterbach linx...I was stationed there in late 70's. How bout to Post Gasthouse in Lichtenau? Barry is the owner. Please? Ron
@marzli i love this video. i was stationed in Ansbach with the 212th MP Co. 03-05. i spent many hours driving around Ansbach in my patrol car listening to the radio. and your video took me right back. i miss Ansbach and will forever hold a special place in my heart. thank you for the video
Youre stupid, you know that Otis? Those were NAZIS, NOT GERMANS. Im German myself, more than 90% and I take great offense to that, and Im also a proud American with plans to go into NROTC and fly in the Navy. From a military, American, and German background, I really must say you dont deserve to speak.
Could you please drive down b14 and get video of Katterbach. I was there 4 years and miss it so much. Also if you could video the gathause in katterbach. they have great food.

I see that listen to the same bad music in Germany as the USA...those horrible boy bands, not one has ever taken a voice lesson and it shows.

What "Stop" means in Germany? :)
aadesig 3 years ago
Probably the same as everywhere else, but nothing seems to happen when you just put your foot on the gas :)
Did I see E1.42 for diesel at that Shell - couldn't quite see, makes it around £5.10 a gallon! That works out around £7 a tank less. E1 = £0.79p
I've just come back from Germany visiting relatives who live near Wolfach in the Black Forest National Park.
German roads are far better than in the UK, the BMW feels like a symphony orchestra rather than a rock concert!

yes. diesel ist pretty expensive :)
