I should qualify Sami's video by saying the neck pickup is one of my Wide Range Humbucker upgrades - where I take one of the modern Fender® reissues and replace the standard humbucker design inside with a true Wide Range Humbucker including full size coils, threaded pole magnets and reflector plate.
@atthecreamery i've been looking at your site for a few months now, ever since i got my 72 ri i've been trying to find a good replacement for these terrible reissue pickups. would you say that the tone in this video is pretty representative of your pickups?
@srslymike Hi, yes - obviously amps, mics, pots etc etc will affect the tone heard but you can get a clear idea of the clarity & bloom of these pickups. Email me through the site about your current set up and the kind of tone you're after and I can wind you a custom set or simply upgrade your reissue pickups to a truer vintage spec. The individual magnets really open up the sound.
