Yea, there is a way to get them "undone" but it's extremely expensive and you'll probably have to get a lot of hair cut out if you had them in for a long time anyway. Because think about it, you are basically matting your hair up and if you do this for years it's pretty impossible to get them undone, but some of you hair can be saved if you decide to pay to get them taken out.

once your dreads are mature u can't take them out. you can cut and leave some hair left to comb out. i had my dreads a full year and combed them out just fine though.

No, you can just simply wash and comb out dreads. get some dam good conditioner and a few hours.

yes it does shorten youre hair about an inch or two expecially if youre white or latin .

Alright, sry if this took 3 weeks, just saw this, dunno if it makes a difference. Yes, this is true, a dreadlock can develop mold if it is washed too often. Since a dreadlock is a matted piece of hair, water takes a while to dry from the middle, if you don't let it dry, mold will form after a while. That is why you do not add wax to wet hair (it seals in the moisture) and why you do not wash more than once every 4 days (the dreads don't have a chance to dry). Comment back of it helps.

yes they can mould, but honestly you need pay absolut no attention to your hair for that to happen, as long as you dry your dreads after showering you are safe.. go dread, its an experience

it works better if u use a dog's comb. i've done this to several people and i use a metal dog comb as well as a special tool that i found that can help tighten the knots and get rid of loose parts of hair.
