  • I'm okay with Goku's Japanese voice, but that's probably because I saw part of DBZ before it came to the U.S (friends had Chinese subbed VHS copies of the Majin Buu Saga). I remember thinking that Goku's voice was hilarious the first time I heard it, but I accepted it without further question for some reason. XD

  • lol this voice actor makes me lol everytime. can't ever take it seriously

  • I love how whenever someone dislikes Goku's japanese voice, you get a bunch of fans bitching, whining, moaning, and attacking them for not understanding the history. Its called an "opinion". Just because you like his Japanese voice better doesn't mean everyone should. I personally like his English voice better, because that's what I grew up with, and because I find high pitched voices annoying. If I grew up watching it in Japanese,Im sure my opinion would be the other way around.

  • Wow, I've never heard Goku with his original voice and...well, no offense guys, I get it, original is the best, but I'm happy I went with the english dub. I personally liked everyone's voice, and I kinda prefer Bruce Faulconer's music over the japanese themes. I guess they're just weird for my european ears.

  • Name of the music?

  • I've watched both the Japanese version and the Funimation dub from the start of Dragonball to DBGT, and I still think Sean Schemmel fits best.

  • @19Jones91 Yeah, bullshit.

  • @ViolentSpring I've been watching this series since I was 5 years old, I'm now 20. I've had plenty of time to watch both lol, whatever you say. But by calling bullshit you just sound IGNORANT.

  • @19Jones91 No, I think it's bullshit that you think Sean Schemmel fits Goku. That's an opinion, not ignorance. Goku's suppose to be a hick, from the mountains. But Sean Schemmel, makes Goku sound like a superhero figure, with excellent grammar. Thats not his character "at all".

  • @ViolentSpring He may be from the mountains, but he's also a Saiyan WARRIOR, and one of the strongest fighters in the universe. The voice just doesn't fit for that.

    I'm done here.

  • @19Jones91 So what? Mike Tyson's got a soft voice like Goku's.

  • @ViolentSpring Usually the dub haters I've read comments from criticize the sounds of their voices alone and not their acting...

  • @immblueversion Yeah, well they both suck.

  • I still don't understand why Goku still sounds like a girl when he is grown. I mean seriously, put some base in that man's voice. Geez.

  • @birdmanband123456 According to most weaboos he sounds better as a prepubescent little boy then a full grown man....

  • @19Jones91 Even Akira Toriyama agrees this was the right voice for Goku. I think you're just an ignorant idiot.

  • @ViolentSpring I respect Akira Toriyama for everything he's done for Dragonball, but he's out of his damn mind if he thinks that this voice fits Goku...

  • @19Jones91 Not really, if you weren't so ignorant.

  • @ViolentSpring Ignorance has nothing to do with it.

  • @19Jones91 There you go again. You're just proven that you're more ignorant.

  • @ViolentSpring Explain.

  • @ViolentSpring How does a full grown man sounding like a little girl make sense?

  • @19Jones9 If you watched Dragon Ball from the start, with Goku's voice by Masako Nozawa. You'd get use to it, and when came time for him to grow up, they didn't change his voice actor, since most people would recognised that as his voice. I watched the new episode of The Simpsons, where they were in the future and they didn't change the voice actors for the children becoming adults. I'd rather hear quality voice acting from a woman voicing a man, than some guy making constipated noise

  • Japanese voices ♥

  • What's obnoxious is that Funi-Z-tards can't get the difference between the voice of a young boy and a woman

  • If you think about it, Goku already went ultra super saiyan vs frieza, look how big he was when he did

  • goku sounds like a woman in the japanese version

  • the way goku scream in japanese is sooo obnoxious

  • I will never understand why people like to hear pussy little girl voices come out of adult buff men...do adult men in japan really sound like that when they scream??? 0_0

  • @xIh3r0Ix

There's a whole history/reasoning behind Goku's soft Japanese voice. It has to do with how Dragonball came out first in Japan, everyone grew up with kid Goku, then when he returned at the Tenkaichi Budokai after training with Popo and Kami-sama he was 16 and they kept the same voice actor with a slight change in the voice. As time passed they never felt the need to change it because by then that's how everyone in Japan was used to him sounding. If you watch enough you'll understand.

  • @sxdxdb1

    Voice actRESS.

  • @xIh3r0Ix

Also the rest of the characters (Vegeta, Trunks, Broly, Cell, Tien, Piccolo, etc) sound much manlier in Japanese than they do in English. Only the Son family has soft voices.

  • @xIh3r0Ix i will never understand english dub fans pure ignorance. As if Freeza sounding like a chainsmoking grandma is so beloved.

  • @daindom17 actually it is so beloved better that than to have frieza sound like a woman when he's a boy but besides that since your bashing us english dub fans so much how about during te next casting session for the show you lend your voice as frieza or gohan so we can criticise your voice. Bc for everyone who bashes the dub of any language id love to see all u critics lend your voice so the fans can tell u if yur character's version sucks or not. And as a statement im just sayin

  • @kinglouis1993 I'm actually rather confident of my impersonations of the Kai versions of Freeza and Gohan.

All wise ass comments aside, it's a horrid way to respond to someone's critique. I didn't say I could do it better than Young (even though I probably could), I said it was terrible. I have full right to state my opinion, no matter how obnoxious it may sound. I wasn't bashing English dub fans. Try looking at the comment I was responding to rather than start shit with me

  • @daindom17 and what the hell are you talking about being voiced by a girl. in the kai dub and the japanese versions, they are voiced by a guy. only funi and ocean had women

  • @daindom17 you misunderstand what i was trying to say i wasnt trying to start anyting or be smart what im saying is ok u ate dbz's version of gohan and frieza and i hate kai's version of frieza, gohan, and 18 and thats our opinons and we bot have full rite to express them but the only reason i wrote what i wrote is bc i thougt you was like from some other country bashing the eng dub or somethin bc its not how it is in japnese bc its like every anime i go to i see ppl doin this and be like

  • @kinglouis1993 but dbz is special case. for most other anime, it's based on preference. but in the eng dub of dbz, they went EXTREME in changes. It was practically a remake. Same story, but told very differently. Which is not at all the purpose of a dub

  • @daindom17 actualy bc dbz had so many freakin dub changes most ppl usually go with the one we grew up with which isthe one that came on toonami and the main reason they did so much extreme changes is bc in japan they have more openess and thing but well you know how the stupid FCC is about somethings so they made dbz a kid show which is why they changed it so much like with salior moon they canceled it bc two of the saliors were lesbians yet they kpt Family guy around "really" so i blame parents

  • @kinglouis1993 That's not entirely true. The Nicktoons version of Kai is able to keep most of the integrity intact while having minor edits. Back in the 90s, Funimation SERIOUSLY dumbed down the script so it would appeal to kids watching on Toonami.

  • @daindom17 but what you have to realize is that bac in the 90's havin goku say things like bastard and stuff really wasnt allowed and to me he sounds better without the cursing but thats bc on toonami i saw well see him as a superman type hero bc of funi's dub which i think was their intent whereas these days you can say things like that on tv nowadays especially with cartoons like Adventure Time running around(wont even get started on it) but yet on nicktoons they dont show blood i mn like rly"

  • @daindom17 oh the eng dub sucks bc there voices arent done rite or some crap like that and to me im like its 2 diffrent countries so of course there going to be diffrent and i ddnt say they were voiced by a girl in kai what i sd was that in kai both frieza and gohan sound like little girls and dont soundd like they have any masculinity to it but thats just hw it snds to me but in japan goku and his sons are voiced by a woman named nowaki or at least so i've been told

  • @kinglouis1993 I don't like that idea. Because they are men, they automatically have to fit the stereotype that men have to sound macho. That doesn't fit for Gohan anyway because he was only 5. He's supposed to sound like a "girl"

  • @daindom17 dont get me wrong im not trying to sound or be stereotypical bc i hate stereotypes bc that would make me ironic since he's voiced by a girl lol but actually for some reason kids these days sound other than they really are but to be fair it wouldnt have been bad if they changed his voice when he was 5 but the changed it back when he became teen gohan i mean that wouldve been better IMO bc as teen gohan his voice doesnt fit

  • oh and all, i mean ALL the Voice Actors for the kid roles are hell annoying

  • I guess it has little to do how Toriyama-Sensei imagined Goku´s voice. I think it is more because Kids watched Dragon Ball for years and grew up with it, so after all these years the voice didnt change because people want to remember Son-Kun as he was back then, the same person they grew up with, so people could watch back at those 12 years of Dragon Ball and say that Son Goku was the same pure Hero all the time. Btw. Bruce Faulconer doesnt fit and most VA are overacting in U.S. Dub.

  • I get he's supposed to sound innocent and all, but when he's pissed, he sounds like a little boy throwing a tantrum -_-

  • @96Nathan96 So how is that not Goku?

  • @daindom17 I never said it was ^_^

  • Goku and Adult Gohan's voice really bug me and they suck. I do think the other Japanese voices are superior though

  • I HATE THE JAPANESE VA FOR GOKU, WHY DOES IT HAVE TO BE SO HIGH PITCHED!

  • @RECreationalUK Dude... see, if u have grown up listening to the same dub over the years...u'll get me wrong. BUT, but..if ur a seasoned anime fan or atleast a true DBZ fan, then, no one can argue upn Goku's voice in the Jap Version... Masako Nozawa captured SUN Goku's childish, innocent as well as his purity of the soul, rather than voicing Goku based on the physical appearance...cough...Sean cough.... It HAS to be high-pitched in a show like DBZ...then voicin like a Batman in Justice League...

  • @RECreationalUK

Idunno but Akira Toriyama chose the voice. When he was creating DBZ this is how he imagined Goku sounded.

  • Goku taught me how to think outside the box and to eliminate specific factors and go right to the heart of the problem.

  • I used to worship the faulconer music and the old American dub, but now I only like a few of faulconer's songs and the old american dub sounds so goofy. Didn't like how they severely changed the dialouge which in a way changed some characters. In japan goku was just a very compassionate person. In US he was like Jesus. Kikuchi's score is awesome to me now that I gave it a chance and had an open mind. However still prefer most US VAs. But i pay respect to Japan VAs and how they made dbz famous.

  • its so weird when he yells in japanese. he sounds like spongebob.

  • Americans steal everything and fuck it up so much that we don't even recognize it as a Japanese made cartoon, so fuck those who wont give any respect for original dub.

  • All i hear is japanese jibberish. l2english

  • @shadowsofnoobs

You realize this is the original and most famous version and the people who made DBZ are Japanese right? That would be like some Japanese person seeing the Simpsons and asking why they are speaking "English jibberish". l2DBZhistory

  • @sxdxdbzV1 L2getonyourkneesandsuck :)

  • Masako is talking to herself! XD

  • Two incarnations of Goku we may never see in any DBZ game right up there with the Teen version of Goku from the 23rd Budokai. Are none of the developers real fans of the anime/manga?? Raging Blast kinda took DBZ games in a bad direction anyway.

  • badass

  • i wish you could use ultra super saiyan goku in the later dbz games

  • @Blessedratdragon

me too, i've always wanted 2, but every game, it's no dice, just once i'd like 2 use those 2 forms of Goku, even if they were just part of some kind of rush, that still be cool

  • wow, i think i'd rather listen to my dog whine from hemorrhoids before i listen to the japanese dub again

  • @ccm21r32

so do you just not like DBZ? because the english version has about 500 times the "dog whining from hemorrhoids" than the original japanese version. everyone in english sounds like they're either shitting themselves or jizzing themselves. compare trunks killing freeza in japanese (epic scream) and english (terribly corny 50 second "AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH" that completely ruins the scene).

  • @razzzorsedgeable lol man, you say the same thing to all people who say something about the dub. you are clearly getting offended by an opinion, and you seem to forget, " Opinions are like @ssholes, everyone has one."

  • the comments below describe why im ashamed to be an american.

  • @whitesox623 dont be ashamed that your an american... be ashamed that funimation failed into properly making the voices suitable and making the dialog be faithful to the japanese version

  • @whitesox623 not to mention be ashamed that faulconer was a horrible composer who never understood the true meaning of the japanese bgm, he is the only faggot who changed what the show is supposed to represent

  • @PrinceofSaiyajins456 i dont blame him, the show wouldn't have succeeded in america if he hadnt. Americans look for different things than the japanese do, and he knew americans were too stupid to look for real meaning, so he changed it to how he knew it would do best.

  • I'm guessing Gohan never goes to Ascended SSJ or Ultra SSJ because it would be hard to draw, and it would give away his SSJ2 hairstyle too soon. But in-story this is obviously why Gohan never uses the form, because Goku encourages him to train in regular SSJ.

  • @ZachForgives

    u mad?

i like plenty of english dubs (cowboy bebop, g gundam, etc). its pretty well known (and admitted by chris sabat, head director for funimation) that the old english dub of dbz was horribly mistranslated and the voice acting was not that good because they had literally 3 people doing 70 characters.

  • @DiamondCutterBang 3 people? They had more than Funimation did when they started!

  • @DiamondCutterBang Seriously Chris Sabbat played Vegeta Piccolo Yamcha, Shenlong and Mr. Popo. In kai interviews Sean Schemmel even said they went from having like 11 voice actors to having over 40, so your argument makes zero sense

  • @3exclamationpoint please, let us japanese fans of DB enjoy this scene lol, english dub fans shouldnt even be on this video

  • @PrinceofSaiyajins456 I don't know what you mean. I am a fan of the Japanese version. You obviously didn't read what I was replying to

  • @3exclamationpoint oh yeah i meant to post it to the other person, I just don't understand, if these american noobs are gonna bash the japanese dub they have to give proper reasoning instead of childish reasoninng like saying the voices suck because thats far from the truth, toriyama even wanted these voices as they were picked by him, and this is exactly how he pictured Son Goku's voice

  • @ZachForgives He's just saying that the japanese voice actor sounds different for a reason. No need to go about giving insults and being immature.

  • Gohan: You'll win for sure!

Goku: Nope. Too slow. Only an idiot would use this form against Cell.

    *later*

    Trunks: GOD DAMN IT!

  • wasnt vegeta Ultra super sayan too ?

He just didnt use it on against cell ?

  • @frustratedgamerguy it was never said on the show that vegeta actully reached the Dai San Daikai SSJ, although trunks did imply that vegeta had reached it and knew the transformation was not suitable for a fight against someone like cell hence vegeta only using the Dai ni Dankai SSJ against cell

  • Also, generic rock bands in the dub movies are just....no. I don't want to hear a shitty Korn song about "life sucks" and "my girlfriend left me" while Broly is kicking heads in. They made the movies look like a bad AMV. Whats next? Linkin Park in Rocky? The original score was made with an orchestra and instruments by an award winning composer. When Goku beats Broly its really a triumphant trumpet/cello piece that actually fits DBZ, not some down syndrome redneck pop metal by Slipknot . /rant

  • To clear up any confusion, anyone familiar with Toonami know that the violence wasn't heavily edited for the sake of kids. But when DBZ Kai was introduced, the violence was so edited it was ridiculous.

  • @TLJthethird actually it was edited only once or twice. kai keeps the majority of the violence though not as gory as the manga

  • Honestly I prefer Funimation voices but I respect the original Japanese. I'm just not the biggest fan of Goku voice in Japanese. And I know the english version wasn't completely faithful to the script, but I would rather deal with that than heavily edited violence. Just look at Kai. Heavy editing at it's finest.

  • @TLJthethird how in the hell is the japanese version heavily edited, that is the completely other way around, funimation has been butchering the script and narrowed it down for children, the japanese dub is targeted for a mature audience and is completely uncensored, funimation has got rid of a lot of scenes from the japanese dragon boxes

  • @TLJthethird just look at kai. faithful to the manga and almost no "editing for the kids". hell it seemed even more violent as krillin got impaled. and more badass cos of kais music

  • In fact, I have this very episode recorded to VHS from its original Japanese airing. Wish I still had a VHS player : )

  • Looks like whatever tool responded to my comment got deleted. Oh well. All I can reiterate to whomever that was is that I have also seen both, lived for 5 years in Japan (during the show's live airing) and can also speak both languages (English and Japanese). Conclusion:

THE JAPANESE DUB SHITS ON THE AMERICAN DUB ALL DAY LONG.

    日本の勝利!!!

    That is all.

  • They should put that tranrformation in adbz game serously, who care cares he might be slow XD

  • HAHAHA, no. Real DBZ fans watch the ORIGINAL Japanese version. You saying "over 9000" makes you look like you're 11

I grew up on the Funimation "lets turn every line into a kiddy joke, leave out the sex jokes/swearing, ruin every scene with that Bruce Faulconer faggot techno rock" dub, and as soon as I saw a few episodes in Japanese w/ subs I thought I had been lied to my entire childhood.

  • @PrinceofSaiyajins456 and who are you, troll, to say who a real fan is? oh thats right your an elitist asshole who insults anyone who dares to say the dub is good/gt is terrible.

  • @054martinm look at you acting all tough like I am an elitist ass hole when thats clearly the other way around, i dont mindlessly go from one db video to the next spreading a ton of bullshit , your the last source i will rely on for dragon ball simply because your the dumbest, your the one to talk, I always see you insulting others for liking the dub better, Kai is just a refresher, I prefer the entire animated series from beginning to end in japanese,

  • Comment removed

  • @054martinm kai made funimations script much more closer to the japanese dub but still the voices are earbleeding, the were earbleeding in the original dub, but since kai is fasterpaced, it makes it sound like they gotta take an enormous shit even more then in the original, and the japanese version of kai all the actors sound worn out, so I will stick with DB DBZ DBGT thank you very much, and its not my fault your one of the trolls who hates on GT, so just stfu

  • Comment removed

  • @054martinm You know what, I removed some of my comments that i posted to you because i am through with us insulting eachother, I feel that we can redeem ourselves over these times when we argued to eachother

  • @PrinceofSaiyajins456 yep agreed

  • @PrinceofSaiyajins456 Agreed! DBZ Japanese is The Perfect DBZ Material! Masako puts on a performance that just blew my mind out of pure greatness! I am honored by her VA Talents and my brother said her voice is okay for Goku but it sounds to wimpy for Goku and then I say to him wtf are u on?!

I fuckin hate how Funimation made the VA in DBZ Kai Abysmal and sounded like there all taking a huge shit! -_-

  • @PrinceofSaiyajins456

I'm always amazed that people call every music they don't lkike GAY/FAGGOT. It only proves how pathetic you are. Oh and btw. i am truly sorry, that in USA they had taken out sex scenes, it must have been really painful to find out that you won't ifnd any scene you can fap to.

  • @HyperVegitoDBZ its not about the sex scenes its about the entire show in general... funimation has been butchering it and ruining the scripts for years, they have kept it censored while in japan they dont take out a single thing

  • So his choice to stay ssj the whole time and train normally was the reason he faaar surpasses begeta and almost cell?

  • The artwork in this scene is complete shit.

  • The American dub along with its cheese music is the reason Dragonball didn't take off in America the way it has in the rest of the world. Not to say the Spanish or European dubs are much better, but America's is beyond lame. I will never watch this classic anime in English.

  • goku sounds like a bitch

  • @disturbedgir11

I'm the farthest thing from a GRORIOUS JAPAN fanboy. I LIKED the Funi dub as a kid, I tried watching it years later and it didn't hold up. It just seemed really over dramatic and corny, especially the voices. I always knew they edited some things and heard the original was better. I wanted to see what DBZ was really like and see what the characters were actually saying and I liked it. I felt like the English dub lied to me. Why wouldn't you want to see it how Toriyama wanted it?

  • @DiamondCutterBang Wait. We all know where it comes from. I dont hate on Japanese dubs its just that most Americans are ignorant at what they say and I apologize if I sounded that way. I like both Japanese and English dubs so I prefer not to hate on either. I have tons of respect for them and I wouldnt downtalk it for anything its just the opposite of what I see from people who like Japs.

  • @ShadowSayain1

Fair enough. My bad. Fans like you I don't have a problem with. It's the ones who have never seen any Jap DBZ and watch one clip and judge the entire series on it (like "Goku sounds weird, Japanese version must suck"). I can't help but go into nerd rage seeing that. I know what you mean about people who think ANYTHING from Japanese means its great. Where I'm coming from is I like my shows in the original form. Just like how I like old Star Wars but hate new Star Wars.

  • @DiamondCutterBang I understand what you mean. =) And I also get tired of people saying that too. =/ Theyre saying "Fuck Japanese, Sean Schemmel is the real Goku!" They need to get a clue.. And I guess thats why most people really hate Funi and theyre music because of how everyone is reacting to the ORIGINAL DBZ, they its meant to be hear. I can often go into nerd mode and say some things that they probably never even knew about it. XD And I also prefer the old Star Wars too.

  • @ShadowSayain1 Fuck you and Fuck Japanese <3

  • @shadowsofnoobs FUCK Yourself while your at it. Baka desu...

  • @Nurizzuddin I'll fuck you tonight hot shot <3 get some cum in your mouth <3

  • @disturbedgir11 I know and I cant stand people like that either. =/ I mean are they even Japanese? This reminds me of a rant I saw, ill send it to you.

  • @ShadowSayain1

You don't need to know Japanese. Its called subtitles, you read them. Also this is a clip of Japanese DBZ and you're shocked people are talking about Japanese DBZ? How come you English dub fans keep hating on the original/most famous version of DBZ? These are the people who CREATED the show you supposedly love. Funimation didn't create it. They dubbed it, 15 years later. Give credit where its due. Without it becoming huge in Japan it wouldn't have been given main slot on Toonami.

  • And who knows, maybe the some of the japs like our version better than theirs. (Just saying) Andhey, no need to tell me to give credit where its due because I already do. And I knew all of that but thanks for telling me. =)

  • @disturbedgir11 Just forget them, they know not what they say lol. Theyre just trying to get on your nerves I say just ignore them.

  • Day

  • His hair grew 4x that dad

  • goku sounds like an f1 car when hes powering up .. then when hes talking to gohan, he sounds like a girl... the lips dont even sync to what he is saying

  • @DHeroDogmaPS3

That's because the video is lagging.

  • @DHeroDogmaPS3 US Gohan sounds like an retarted old woman

  • @PatokTheTroll4 uhhh are you listening to goku? i mean i like the japanese dbz but honestly? are you deaf!?

  • @TheDBZgirl898 Japanese Goku > English Goku that didn't even dubbed DBZ 2008 or New DBZ Gaiden remake that came out with Raging Blast 2. The old one didn't got dubbed too. Atsumare Goku World didn't got dubbed too.

Dragon Ball Kai Attack of the Saiyans didn't got US Dubbed

US Staff is lazy, and thats why i prefer EVERY Japanese voice over English/

US Goku = Gay guy in glasses making lame voices

  • @PatokTheTroll4 dude... how can i understand you when you talk like a baby?

  • @TheDBZgirl898 Yeah Sean Schemmel talks like a baby

  • lol thats nothing compared to gohans ssj2 transformation.

still awesome though, son kun rules.

  • Scream at 1:07.

  • Dragon ball, where screaming makes u physically stronger.... i miss that show :'(

  • But the point is, Goku IS tough. Just look how many blows he can take before falling or giving up

  • how is the backgroundmusik called?

  • @heartcore1990

its from the first coola movie soundtrack (not the one with all the retarded ass linkin park/korn songs that ruined every Funi dub movie). Song is called "Jinzoningen Machi E" by Shunsuke Kikuchi. It plays towards the end of the score.

  • Badass, japanese ftw!

  • am i the only one who notices that gokus' adult voice sounds just like his young voice in japan >.>

  • @RobertsNetworkCom I agree the Japanese dialogue is more intelligent.I wish it carried over to the English version. My problem is the Japanese voices are silly and the English voices sound normal and fit the look of the person the voice is for.And...lol.. me a wanker? Greetings from America ya dick lol

  • @wisewarrior7

Also the only voice that sounds "silly" is Goku's and that fits his personality. His voice is supposed to be childish and goofy, he's not supposed to sound "tough" like everyone else. His personality is a big naive kid. You have to look at it in the view of the Japanese, not compare it to its western counterpart. They adore Masako Nozawas voice of Goku where this show is legendary. Everyone else sounds normal. 1 character =/= every character in the series. Just give it a chance :/

  • @DiamondCutterBang Well said. 100% agree. Having lived in Japan for about 5 years (3 of those spent during DBZ's early 90's prime), its definitely a matter of culture to appreciate the original Japanese. Even so, its a matter of taste to realize the American dub is mostly crap. Piccolo's and maybe Vegeta's voice are decent, that's about it.

  • @Kidchair nope i watched both and all of the american voice overs are 100% kickass .i cant stand Japanese voice overs either they sound constipated and trying to get the dodo out, or child like pedophile plus heavy pedo like voicesto.almost all of them sound the same you cant tell no difference between them besides the heaviness of there voices or the lightness there are very few voices that stand out .unlike the american voice overs mostly all of em sound different except for a few ..

  • @xBlackWaterxx

You've never seen the Japanese version if you're saying they all sound the same. You're just judging the show on youtube clips. One person does at least 15 voices for the American dub. Japanese DBZ is the real DBZ how the creators wanted it. It's much more mature, the music is better, and the voices are better. Most DBZ fans watch the original version w/ subtitles unless you still have your nostalgia goggles on thinking the corny edited American dub is better.

  • @xBlackWaterxx

"unlike the american voice overs mostly all of em sound different"

    you can't be serious...

the english version is too westernized and is more like a super hero show. original jap dbz isn't supposed to be like that and americans get the wrong impression because they think goku is supposed to be some sort of bad ass tough guy. people shouldn't talk shit about it, because its the original. remember dragonball z was already huge 10 years before it came to america.

  • @xBlackWaterxx Keep your filthy opinion to yourself, its not needed at all in any DB video, the voice actors sound perfectly fine in the japanese dub, just because they didnt meet your needs doesnt mean you can bash on the original, these are their true voices so get over it, and how in the fuck can you say that the japanese actors sound constipated when its clearly the OTHER way around, the english dub everybody soudned like they constantly had to take an enormous shit

  • @PrinceofSaiyajins456 his opinion isnt needed? NEITHER IS YOURS WEABOO. just because you love the jap actors doesnt mean they are perfect and anyone who says different must be wrong.

  • @054martinm really im not even gonna bother.so yeahh...

  • @054martinm you martinm especially YOUR opinions arent needed because you make people go insane , someone says the original animated db dbz dbgt is better than kai, you start to go off and say they don't know what their talking about.

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • @xBlackWaterxx the whole dub was just really corny and the jokes made absolutely no sense.... old kai says mexican food gives him gas. HOW THE FUCK WOULD HE KNOW ABOUT MEXICAN FOOD , hes never been to earth. secondly no the voice actors sound way different, goku isnt some power rangers type of guy, like he was portrayed in the english dub

  • @PrinceofSaiyajins456 its made for kids idiot. and if you want the original dialogue in english watch kai.

  • @xBlackWaterxx the narrator for the japanese dub is an old wise man telling the story, while in the english dub its some phony wrestler type of guy LASST TIMEEE ON DRAGON BALLLZZZZZZZ GOKU WAS FIGHTING... XD haha I cant watch the english dub with a straight face, its like an episode of power rangers

  • @xBlackWaterxx FURTHERMORE the english dub doesnt even follow the story (script wise) they add sentences when they arent really talking on that exact part in the japanese dub, the script is like 90 percent inaccurate to the true original script in japanese

  • English dub is fucking garbage. Its a show made for children. The original Japanese version was made for kids AND adults. inb4 "DURRR GOKU HAZ TUH FEMALE ACTOR". A). That's how Akira Toriyama wanted it B) He's not supposed to sound tough. She is the most popular and well known version of Goku. Yes I know its hard to believe the guy who sounds like who was shitting his brains out in every scene is in the minority. Go watch the original version w/ subs and it will make you love DBZ even more.

  • is it true the voice actor of japanese goku is a female japanese named masako nozawa?????

  • is it true that the voice actor of goku in japanese is masako nagawa?

  • yeah i think this is better than goku ascending in kai. that seemed kinda shoddy and not as powerful.

  • goku sounds gay in Japanese its better in english!

  • "As far as balance goes, the regular saiyan size is best"

at this point the idea of the "mystic form"(unlocked potential) was hinted.

    That is the ultimate form.
