Dave Mustaine offered the whole rust in peace lineup to come back after he recovered from his arm injury..Nick Menza accepted and joined, but Mustaine has said he wasnt in playing shape, which isnt specified but it was probably around the time Nick was strung out on Meth..David Ellefson and Marty Friedman both were offered to rejoin and they both declined..

@soloist93 Totally agree. Marty is criminally underrated. He has a totally unique style which incorporates Far Eastern ideas, and atonal vibrato. Very unique, and aweome. I think his solo on Lucretia is one of the best of all time.

As I recall Ellefson wasn't kicked out; he was with Megadeth up until Mustaine broke the band up after he damaged his arm. When he eventually reformed Megadeth, Ellefson wasn't available.
