you just mix them together to make a thick paste and you can use it as a facial scrub in the shower or as a mask and wait til it dries. i have been using it almost every day for 2 weeks and my skin has cleared up dramatically, the redness has subsided significantly and my skind feels so much smoother. if you use it as a scrub it might sting for a couple of seconds the first few times you use it but after that it's fine.
I can't even begin to tell you how wonderfully the Hydrationist balanced out my skin. Normally I have to slather myself with a toner and my repair and my moisturizer and with this I can just pop on the moisturizer and eye cream and go. No oil, really well hydrated skin and nice and bouncy. Def. worth a check up when it comes out.
Hey dolly :D I love the updates on moisturizers, I'm always looking for good ones to check out. About two weeks ago I received my gratis in the mail for Estee Lauder and a jar of our new moisturizer Hydrationist that's coming out in January. You should * definitely* give this a check up when it comes out. I have the most horrible oily skin and had a bad allergic reaction to some acne products that blew my face up.
Hey hun! Sooo glad you made the vid! I'd heard about Embryolisse before and now I'm more inclined to purchase it! x also you might want to give Lancome Tonique Confort a try! it's a toner for dry skin and always makes my redness fade and leaves my skin really really soft!
This is a really random question, Risa. Do you feel as if your skin is drier since you went through chemo? It would make sense because the chemo acts on your stem cells.
No it's not. When I was going through chemo - definitely! I had 3 different kinds - 2 intravenously and 1 oral. The oral one is extremely similar to Retin-A, but it's a different chemical compound and that totally screwed my skin up for the year and a half I took it, and it took like 3 months after I stopped it for my skin to get back to normal. But the physical effects of all 3 chemos lasted for about 2 years after my initial dose. Brain wise, as I said it's been 5 years since I've had any
By the way, check out carefully the ingredients on Embryolisse cream thing...some of them may be a question mark. I am not saying it is bad, I am just saying watch out. I bought myself one, and after studying out the ingredients I just cannot bare it on my skin, it literally feels that it blocks my skin from breathing. sorry.
I use extra virgin coconut oil on my skin and hair..its great for both but I really love using it as moisturizer at night, not in the day as it doesnt contain SPF...it really hydrates your skin AND I have found that the skin on my face is clearer it seems to have evened out my skintone and omg I cannont resist eating a little whenever I use it!
Great tips! I'm gonna have to try that 8-hour Cream. There's an eye cream that I swear by and it's also by Elizabeth Arden, it's Intervene, I love it because it's not exactly cream (as in "white") it's more like a glaze and what it does is it creates this really intense coat of hydration on top of the eye skin area and it lasts a really long time. Give it a try =)
No I worked for mac years ago. Makeup wise, I freelance, but my jobs that pay the majority of bills are a club and youtube. I do a little of everything at the club but mainly bartend.
I've been using Egyptian Magic Cream at night and it makes your skin baby soft when you wake up. its not really a cream is almost like hard vaseline and you rub it into your hands until it melts and then put it on ur face. Plus it only had six ingredients Olive oil, Honey, Beeswax, Bee Pollen, Bee Propolis and Royal Jelly. it also fades scarring REALLY well. I was shocked I never believed that creams could fade scars but it has and im so happy!!
Maybe You used too much? When I first got it I put on too much and my face just felt kind of sweaty and gross, but i used less and gradually i stopped feeling like that. stick at it. dont give up on it yet.
Have you ever compared Bag Balm to EA 8hr cream? I used it for my son when he had skin issues. I would be curious about the comparison because they smelled really similar when I smelled the EA at Ulta.
Risa is completely right about the Parabens, people are idiots to believe every piece of hype on tv or in the paper. Take it from an actual scientific dermatologist, it's a load of crap designed to give people something else to worry about because lets face it, people aren't happy unless they've got something to worry and stress about.
just because they are found there doesn't mean they contributed to or caused the cancer and that study kinda has no relevance as 20 women for a scientific study is not a high enough number to actually credit a result with a percentage of how likely it is that parabens are the main factor. There are many things that we know for sure cause cancer and parabens isn't one.
I love the Bach Rescue Cream. I use it every night on my face and on my hands and elbows and other really dry spots during winter. It is made out of flowers and I just love it!! Couldnt live without it. It is soothing and restoring, and I think everyone should try it out =)

Risa, stop giving people bad advice. Have you even checked out the ingredients on the Senna Cosmetics cream? Because it's full of parabens. Jeez. Learn something.
How exactly am I giving bad advice? People asked me what I use and I'm telling them. Period. No need to be rude. I'm an artist, not an esthetician which I've stated NUMEROUS times. Also nothing about parabens has been scientifically proven to cause or contribute to cancer.
"A 2004 study in the United Kingdom found traces of five parabens in breast cancer tumors of 19 out of 20 women. Dr Philippa Darbre and colleagues at the University of Reading in the UK are the scientists who carried out the tests. Their report, published in the Journal of Applied Toxicology, suggested the chemicals had seeped into the tissue after being applied to the skin.
A study done with ONLY 20 women, where there was no control (normal, non carcinogenic) tissue used for comparision, and there was no investigation of the source of the parabens. Also, it should be noted that the author of said published report, published another piece in the same journal REFUTING claims that parabens cause cancer:
'Nowhere in the manuscript (her published paper on parabens found in breast tumours) was any claim made that the presence of parabens had caused the breast cancer, indeed the measurement of a compound in a tissue cannot provide evidence of causality.'" - Reply to Robert Golden and Jay Gandy - Journal of Applied Toxicology, 2004

...You don't need to eat your lip products to taste them, they're on your LIPS, they WILL get into your mouth, which happens to be where your tongue is, which just happens to have tastebuds all over it.
Will have to try that 8hr cream...I don't have dry skin...not really...even in the winter time..I have dry patches..but i'll try that...My aunt has horribly dry skin...will recommend that to her..
Was watching u put all that moisture on ur face...there was a time when my skin used to be dry...no longer..changes as u get older..So weird too..cause u get so used to it being one way...u order products..for a while that suit it..then its like...eww..can't use this!..lol..
I also swear by Sudocrem - i have really sensitive skin and i find that if i've had a reaction to something, if one of the above doesn't sort it out then the other one will.
I know a lot of people use it/have heard of it, but I've just started using Clinique Moisture Surge and I love it! For a cleanser, I swear by Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil. Even though these products don't seem like they'd work for oily skin, mine has never looked healthier.
i agree the eliz arden is wonderful stuff.she alsomakes a lip moisturizer stick 4 the lips that looks just like a lipstick, last 8hrs one 4 hands too,if a person is interested in getting specific things but that tube u showed will cover it all also.i have a very dry face 2. really enjoy all of your tips on everything, they come in handy, skin texture is very important in order 4 cosmetics 2 act right.luv your vids and josh also you explain in detail very well. hope u had a lovely thanksgiving.
Thanks for this. I hear good things about the Elizabeth Arden cream. Every woman in my family uses it. I think I'll add it to my Christmas wish list this year :)
lol no I do! I use ponds wipes to remove my makeup and as I stated in the shower I use olive oil and sugar to scrub it down. But other than that, no - no facial wash or anything. On days I'm not using the sugar scrub, I just use a wet wash cloth.
JOJOBA oil is better than olive oil... You should check it out. It does not clog your pores... I am a huge fan of olive oil, but I have very bad acne so I had to stop using it. It was making me break out more, but at the same time it will leave my shin very soft.. Just look into the benefits of using Jojoba oil. I have been using it for about two weeks, and I have not had any problems with it. It leaves my skin very soft, and I mixed the oil with my daily cream.
the best night-time moisturizer I have ever used is called Concha Nacar de Perlop 1... It is amazing! It also has cleaning properties so it is great for acne-prone skin. My skin has cleared up so much since using it and my skintone has evened out. Definitely something to look into! It's very inexpensive and I believe it is imported from Mexico. I found it at Target.
someone recommend me CONCHA DE NACAR for my scars. My friend is been using it, and her sking got so much better. They sell it at walmart for 5 dollars. I am going to try it too.
the best moisturizer ever is Corium 21. It is a skin healing cream. I have super dry skin and its the only moisturizer that helps. It also got rid of my acne issues. It is a little pricey but soooo worth the money! also, what is your night job? just wondering
i use bicarb soda and water.
you just mix them together to make a thick paste and you can use it as a facial scrub in the shower or as a mask and wait til it dries. i have been using it almost every day for 2 weeks and my skin has cleared up dramatically, the redness has subsided significantly and my skind feels so much smoother. if you use it as a scrub it might sting for a couple of seconds the first few times you use it but after that it's fine.
