  • he rocked and still does

  • He sang it divinely... Like knowing that it was going to be the last time ever.

  • @Typhoon792. No they didn't. It wasn't even known then it was an European tour only. They just didn't continue touring after this concert.

  • @queenandi Well, if you're sure, that would explain a lot. Thanks.

  • Did they know that this was their last show and if so, was it announced? Because I imagine there would be a lot more chaos if people knew, especially at the very end. I'd also think if Queen knew, they'd do something crazy special. That wasn't the case :(

  • @Typhoon792 Your thoughts are my thoughts. I never figured out why they didn´t bother recording their last show, you know, making all that fuss for Knebworth, like they did for Wembley, after all, this was their last show and why couldn´t they give something special?? It makes very sad and I think it´s a real shame that the last Queen´s show has not been properly recorded and can not be edited due to lack of footage...

  • There's much better versions of Champions on this tour: Mannheim, Brussels, and Stockholm (he even aces the C5) are leaps and bounds above this version.

  • hi Scara- It is strange, but I knew right there and then that this was something special. 180.000 singing along..

  • Got problems holding back my tears when I see this recording from that gig.

As a broke 17 years old kid from Norway, it was unbelievable. I bought two beers and an apple for my last money at that show..

I met an Italian guy there, wonder if he reads this post.

Quite close to the stage with a bunch of HA guys.

Remember: Status Quo, Big Country and one more band were also on the bill….. But… who cares?

    Still, Status was great..

  • @RaidoTUBE

You were there! And near the stage... I'm so jealous...

Tell me, are there any words to describe the emotions of being at a Queen Show?

I 'm Italian and I saw them in Rome with PR, but my thoughts were always with Freddie!

  • @RaidoTUBE If my memory serves me correctly, the other band on the bill that day was called Belouis Some. It was a great day, wasn't it.

  • 180.000!!! can`t be wrong.. i was there,, I was 17..

  • @RaidoTUBE i read on wikipedia that there was estimate of 300,000 people at that concert.

  • This has got to be poignant in rock history? Last live Queen performance and yet the people in the audience didn't know!

  • is this considered as prog rock?

    RIP, great artist

  • @strandennn Hi, Queen is EVERYTHING! Queen is Queen, no need for labeling.

Even Metallica covers Queen. Queen has recorded a large number of songs in different genera / styles. (Disco, jazz, pop, rock, hard rock, rockabilly etc…)

They are might greater than any other band in the world.

  • Yes but freddie is the god of rock

  • dont you mean that elvis is king of rock & roll so that would make queen the king of rock!

  • great quality

  • lol

  • this is false his last concert was oct 1988 dummy

  • Actually this was QUEEN'S last performance as it says in the title, in knebworth, not the barcelona performance, wich makes you the dummy. PWNED.

  • correct, Knebworth 86 was the last time they played on stage together.

    I WAS THERE.

  • Why don't EXIST IMAGES IN GOOD QUALITY of that SHOW?

I already saw just good images of Radio Ga Ga

  • They decided to use to two concerts at wembley for future video release, filmed with 15 different cameras its one hell of a show. The knebworth was a last minute decission by promoter Harvey Goldsmith, they wanted a third show at Wembley but it was already booked...

But then again Wembley had 72000 seats for that show, there were 120.000 at Knebworth that day.

  • i don't give a fuck .....he was the best ...and stil is the best !!

  • Freddie mercury you are not death, you are still in our heart, you have left your memories. in every one heart..... we wish your soul rest in peace.... Rest in peace....

  • Queen forever

  • The CD "live Magic" is from different shows! Champions f.e. is from the Knebworth Show!

  • i dont think this was the last concert..,

  • It was the last show with Freddie Mercury. I´ve got the whole show on tape! Freddie only appeared live after this with Montserat Caballe in 1988 and with Cliff Richard at the Time Musical in London. Greets from Berlin!

  • @AndiRamone how did you jump on stage and film behind rodger???? you taped this off tv...

  • @AndiRamone how did you jump on stage and film behind rodger???? you taped this off tv...and from several cameras

  • yes is true this is was the last great show ...!!

  • this isn't from knebworth, this is from live magic, 'thank you beautifull people, you've been a tremendous, and have been a really special audience...'

    live magic

  • That´s not true! This is of course Knebworth!

  • is same thing.. knebworth-live magic tour (last concert)

  • @kuilyt258 Most of Live Magic is Knebworth.

  • I went to this concert , it was brill and there will never be anyone who can replace freddie.RIP

  • is this truly the last performance? I hadnt realized they stopped touring as early as 1986.

  • No, they didn't. It says in the description: "The last Queen concert ever with Freddie Mercury in Knebworth". :)

  • Okay, Thanks a lot. : ) : )

  • im afraid to say that knebworth 1986 WAS the last gig that queen did with freddie, but im proud to say it was the 1st gig i ever went to!,so it was probably the greatest introduction to live music i could have had.unforgetable.

  • @x0LiveLaughLove0x Yeah, they never toured again after 1986. Freddie appeared live one more time in 1988 on stage with Monserrat Caballe in Barcelona. They sang songs from their album - Barcelona. The band was continually asked in interviews in the late 80s if they were going to tour again. Their answers were evasive, usually with Freddie speaking up to say he didn't want to. At that time nobody knew the real reason - that he was dying and physically incapable of performing live.

  • Love to have this on tape, but, sound & pictures is bad.

  • That is because the video is an audience recording of the big screen above the stage. There are slightly better recordings out there somewhere but you would have to pay quite a lot of money or download it from bittoret (which i would not reccomend)

  • R.I.P. Freddie Mercury, the greatest on-stage performer ever!!!! =)

  • God bless Freddie Mercury!

  • thank you freddie

    you'll always be the best

  • :'[ Rip. Freddie.

  • Pure Genius. That's what they are!

Seen them Live 1986 Slane Castle Ireland. 80,000 fans. Never realised I was one of the last to see them Live. Even more honored than I originally thought. effing amazing concert and not just because it was my first.
