Idk, when i was 15 years old, i kinda thought it looked cool!:P Regarding the smoke machine - this was like a "talent" show where kids could do what they wanted to do. No first price or rankings, just a cultural happening. So the smoke machine, was just the dudes behind the scenes bored to death, I guess.

Not bad. But somehow that's what gets posted. There's a definate lack of time. The solos seem especially off time. You don't see many videos with a bari so I'll give it that.

I like the keyboard player, because of his Clavia^^ I on myself have another instrument which is rather better, but i always say: People buy the clavia, not the hammond-suzuki! Great playing!!

Thanks for the comment (I played drums on this).

But when this video was recorded, I had barely scratched the surface of jazz/funk playing. I had only played rock and metal.

And you're right, the snare/hihat work on this ain't any good, but I've worked on that, so this video does not represent my playing today.

the drummer is completely out of his depth in funk... I know as I've had to work on my funk playing, tell him to listen / watch loads of Harvey Mason (especially for this song), Dave Weckl, Steve Ferrone. that bass player can kickass!

What FX is the bassist using at the beginning to get that lower octave. Also what other FX will do the same thing?

i'm using an EBS - Octabass..

ANd thats all=)

I think the only way to acchive a octave feeling on the bass, is to use an Octabass switch.

ehhh i think the feeling of chameleon is what makes the song so sick. this was a pretty good rendition but it aint leave me cheesin like the more "traditional" version always does

Pretty Sweet, but the trumpet needs to really work on his getting the notes right away, and while it was a good performance, you guys strayed too much from the feeling of Chameleon. BUt the biggest thing is that the trumpet needs to work so much more.
