@FireTsunami85 well suposently since it was made by the elder gods and future raiden sending his memories to himself in the past, the amulet is to know if the future is won by the bad guy shao kahn.as the amulet shatters even more that means things will get worse that eventually will lead to shao kahn's victory and armageddon.yeah its a bit confusing

@claudefrollono1 That is Shang Tsung, but his model that is lying there is "old Tsung" (from this game). U can still see Liu Kang's hooks in his shoulders.

The thing that is inaccurate here is that many characters in this intro (who are playable in this game) are lying dead with the models they use in this game. But aside from that, I really love this intro ^^! Story Mode in this game is amazing!

@bardock310 Uh dude this is a actual continuation. Raiden haves to change the event before Armageddon or All is lost and Shao Kahn is unstoppable while Elder Gods are weak to him. So Raiden haves to sent a message to his younger self to where Shao Kahn was vulnerable and weak.

I know in his ending the God like power passed through his armor & dispersed into the other kombatants within the Edenian Crater & made them stronger (it was supposed to be they lose their special abilities).

I just assume Taven ascended into the heavens & became a God. We can assume Daegon is dead.

Because the other kombatants were now more powerful, it basically lead to..just about every kombatant dead leaving only Raiden & Kahn.

You can see visions of him fighting Onaga with Quan Chi and Shang Tsung, Raiden reviving Liu Kang, Raiden telling the Earth Warriors about the Deadly Alliance threat, Liu Kang's death. Johnny Cage's death. And Liu Kang's victories in MK1-4. MK1-7 actually happened, and its like Back to the Future in a sense where Raiden is trying to change the past.
