I just got to know Martina McBride's music and I simply love it. I really think she's a class of her own. If you look at all the little stars of today that can't even sing and who are successful for only a couple of years maximum it is just a shame that Martina McBride doesn't get more recognition for what she does.
underrated. while taylor swift wins all the awards, that she does not deserve - martina sits back and watches herself lose. totally messed up. no offense to taylor fans, but talent is talent, and martina is talent.

when she played cma fest 2 years ago the crowd screamed for her for forever too... this one is just amazing tho... she is sooo frickin awesome! wow :)
I think it's valid. Obviously Carrie has many years, albums, performances, acclaim, etc. until she can catch up to Martina and prove to have her longevity (which I think she easily will). But they are clearly the best female vocalists in country music, and Carrie did a pretty amazing version of Broken Wing on a demo album she made.... when she was only 13-14. I would love to hear her do this song now.
Also I dont think carrie has ever gotten a 2 minute SO- I couldnt understand why the vid was so long- now I see it!!! Martina is total class act all the way. She knows her roots and her start was not easy like the recognition many get today b/c of Nashville Star and AI.
damn straight....... Martina is one of the best in the buisness. She's not only an amazingly talented singer. But, she hasn't gotten caught up in the HOLLYWOOD lifestyle, she's classy and elegent, and an excellent role model for her children, and for every woman.

I totally agree, Martina does deserve more recognition then she gets! I've seen her live probably 6 or 7 times and everytime, I am just speechless, she is like no other! I feel the same about Carrie too though, she's the reason I discovered Martina, Thankgoodness, :)
AI performances, Jesus Take Th3 Wheel @ the ACM Awards 2006. Just A Dream @ the CMA Awards 2008. Where have you all been? Also Martina has had more time to gain respect in the industry, not that Carrie isnt respected (hosting CMA's two years in a row, Opry member, ACM Entertainer of the Year, 3x reigning CMA and ACM Female vocalist of the year etc.). But both are great singers and shouldnt be compared because they are both just that good.

the whole performance by martina was perfect, but 2:10 - 2:30 was phenomenal. that note is hard to hit! but martina can do it
