Хрень! Гофрированные трубки очень быстро обрастут внутри. Ёршик всё не отчистит. Получается, что надо сразу трубки прАвильные ставить или будите каждые 2 месяца новые ставить. Конструктив в целом хлипкий: надавишь фиксатор посильней - сломаешь. Недодавишь - потечёт. Вот и ищи "золотую середину".

@1997xboxgamer you may need 2 of these filters since you have many turtles. I currently have one set up for my 75 gallon tank which has 1 turtle in it.

why can't the water level be more than 7 inches below the rim? I have turtles, and was hoping to use a fluval canister filter - but my water is more than 7 inches from the top.

@pittielove Turtles want as much water as possible. Fill it to the top. Turtles live in ponds that are multiple feet deep, and love swimming. Give em as much as possible!!! lol

@Yakuzagang5 I don't have a turtle topper or anything, my basking lamps just sit on the wire mesh top - I wouldn't want to burn my turtles! Don't worry though, my tank is 75 gallons - they have plenty of water :)

If you can just go and spend little more and buy the Fluval fx5 I got one and I have gone threw a dew hang on and canister filters all makes but got to say the Fluval fx5 best filter out there

i bought the fluval 405 for my 110 gallon tank and i LOVE it its the best filter ive ever had it cycled my tank in 2 weeks and has kept all tests perfect its really expensive in the store 230$ you can even get the fluval fx5 for the same price online these filters are great and very easy to clean

Overall, the Marineland filters out-perform these Fluvals. But when it comes to the hosing, the Fluval is way more flexible, less stiff & easier to deal with.

is it worth using a "spray bar" in stead of the assembly tube ? so that the tube filters all levels of the tank ?

Some of the things explained here in this video are not covered in the Fluval manual. For example, the strainer should be about 3 inches above the gravel after the hose is installed in the tank. The manual doesn't mention that. That is so annoying!

The tank I have is deeper than regular tanks, so the strainer is about 6 inches above the gravel, not 3 inches. What should I do? :(
