  • what mediums do you use exactly to get such wonderful shades smears and blends

  • @LenkaMally Hello! I am using soft pastels and CarbOthello pastel pencils. My favorite brands of soft pastels are Sennelier, Unison, Schmincke and Rembrandt to name a few. My paper of choice is Bristol Board 500 series cold press vellum and I get it and the pencils at Dick Blick. Thanks! :)) Roby

  • Thank you, such an amazing painting! And the music playing in your videos is just great. It is real pleasure watching, while you are doing your magic!

  • @hyuso85 Hello! Thank you! I appreciate your lovely comment, so nice of you! :))

  • The different colors you use and blend always amaze me Roby. Love the way you got the "wooly" look. People always figure sheep are just white/cream when seen from afar. Can't wait to see more of your videos. Your appreciative fan.

  • @Artlover62 Thank you!! You're always so complimentary and I appreciate that! You'd be surprised how many colors there are in each painting. I'm working on a Zebra and it will be my next video... coming soon. Thanks again for your wonderful comments! :)))

  • Dear Roberta, your works are so wonderful.I also love drawing , whenever time makes it possible.I live in austria, near "Linz".What kind of sharpener do you use,to sharpen the pastel-pencils?I do not find the right one.... liebe Grüsse Sabine

  • @sawi353 Hello to Austria!! Thanks for taking the time you comment. I use the X-ACTO Powerhouse electric sharpener and I get it at Office Max here in the states. Maybe you could order it online..... thanks again!! :))

  • @robertarobybaer Thank you,Roberta!

  • @madlynda Hello! So nice of you comment again!! SO much appreciated! :))

  • Wow!...Thank you. What kind (make and color) of pencils were used?

  • @data20051 Thanks! I use CarbOthello pastel pencils. I purchased the entire set but you can also buy them by the pencil. My paper is Bristol Board 500 Cold Press. :)

  • Wow, that is superb! I bet that took a lot of time to do.

  • @artistcjalos Thanks for the nice comment! It took my about two full days to complete. :)

  • beautiful! always inspiring! the eyelashes looked challenging!

  • @TheDecoyDude Thanks so much! The eyelashes aren't too bad, a little practice and you'll get it. It's almost the same application everytime with eyelashes. I didn't show it but after I apply the first layer of eyelashes it can get somewhat muddy. I go in again with light yellow or white to make them stand out for the finished look.

  • hey very nice job

    I loved / enjoyed it !!
