  • Nice job and congrats on winning.

  • GM Employees used their own vacation time & equipment to make this video. For those fixated on telling them to go back to work, it's obvious that they are working on their scheduled work hours as well as devoting their vacation hours to GM projects or this video wouldn't exist.

The commercial is a joke about a fight for the last parking spot in a garage. It is not a commentary on the Tiburon-It's a JOKE. Why it would piss someone off is beyond me. Really, far too many people have anger issues.

  • What a great effort! I love it. Chomp, chomp.

  • what are the prizes?

  • The team chose to attend a product commercial shoot live on location. We are still working out the details.

  • @mtbromur. yes, but are they working on the prize ?

  • I'm sorry claire1667-I don't know what you are asking.

  • @mtbromur. i am asking: what prizes could you win? is it a pontiac grand am or something?

  • Cute and clever -- it made me laugh. :-)

    *** CHOMP CHOMP ***

    Don't mess with the Camaro!

  • Haha... in a parking lot? Is that the best GM can do?

  • What do you mean is that the best GM can do??? It was an employee contest to come up with a YouTube ad on once of our brands. I think our employees did a stunning job in just 2 weeks to put together an ad that compares the absolutely awesome Camaro to a shark!

  • And pray tell me what's the point here? Too much time on your hands? How about your employees focus on what they do the best and leave the ads to the experts because if this is the 'stunning job', I can only confirm my doubts on why GM is a sinking ship.

I have nothing against the Camaro by the way. And, you can stop shamelessly advertising here.

  • Once again - employees did this on their own time - do you understand what that means - not during working hours. Our employees work very hard to design, engineer and build the best vehicles. This is proven by the fact that today, we can't make enough Chevy Equinox's, GMC Terrains, Cadillac SRX's and Buick LaCrosses! The consumers have spoken!

  • Whatever... get back to the design table, nobody's really buying your crap anyway. Good luck.

  • I don't work in design - I work in internal communications. And what crap is it that "nobody" is buying?

  • "the most fun car to drive ever"? you havent driven a corvette have you? anyways it doesnt even look like a shark. the tiburon looks more like a shark than the camaro does, (maybe thats why tiburon=shark in spanish hmm..) this commercial is an obvious rip off of the 1998 Trans Am 'hungry' commercial which was way better and actually makes sense (why would it burp out of its trunk?)

  • No, I haven't driven a Corvette - too low to the ground for my taste. The Camaro, which starts at $23,900, is the "fun" car for the masses. I drove it for 5 hours from Michigan to NY and it was so comfortable I couldn't believe it! Not many people can afford a Corvette.

  • cool story bro... too low to the ground? you should drive a 'Vette sometime. if you think Camaros are the 'the most fun car to drive ever' then a Corvette would blow your mind.

  • Tiburon = Bluegill

Only one (if you would call it that) slit just like single gill slit of a Bluegill.

    No dorsal fin

Mirrors are bunt boxs on either side like the boxy side fins of a Bluegill

    Normal headlights

Small front grill--no teeth like the tiny little toothless mouth of a Bluegill

Small (very small) with rounded feminine lines. There is nothing substantial looking about this car. Just like the tiny Bluegill.

  • 2010 CAMARO = SHARK

Multiple metal gills like the multible gills of a shark

Top shark fin antenna like the dorsal fin of a shark

Sharply pointed mirrors on both sides like the pectoral fins of a shark

RS Pkg has white rimed headlights w/darker center like the eyes of a tiger shark

Wide dark double rowed grill like the slightly open toothy smile of a Shark

Strong, sharp, masculine lines & it looks substantial sitting in a driveway. Like the strong, sharp substantial lines of a SHARK

  • katie.... men are talking here. i know you must have alot of free time to try that hard to pursuade us about something we really couldn't care less about.. but please stop. tiburon means shark in spanish, dont believe me? then look it up.. and dont come back.

  • Okay, Im going to be the bigger person here and ignore that spineless sexist comment you just made. If you have to fall back to sexism you are obviously getting desperate. Its okay I understand, its hard to admit youre wrong especially when you cant logically debate a topic.

  • Did it occur to you that not only did I already know that Tiburon meant Shark in Spanish but maybe the people who made this YouTube video knew it too. Maybe thats why they chose to use a Tiburon instead some other muscle car. There is a certain level of irony in that dont you think?

Here another thought, You can name your first born Einstein but it wont make him a genius. You can name your car shark but it dont mean it looks like one. Its just a name dude.

  • @9886635574 Wow, this conversation has really hit an all time low. I was on the video team, and we did this on our own time, just for fun. GM offered the contest as a way of giving the GM employees a way to show their ideas for ad campaigns. It was never intended to be a real GM commercial, just a fun youtube spot. It wasn't a copy of any Firebird commercial, and the Hyundai Tiburon was the only suitable competitor sorts car we could find in time to make the commercial (2 days...)

  • @9886635574 Moving forward, the cash portion of the Govt. money will be paid back between March and June of this year. The remaining govt. ownership will be in public stock when it is offered later this year. They will sell their shares (at a determined rate so they don't devalue the stock) - and it is estimated they will make close to 700 million on the "bailout," which is turning out to be more an"investment."

  • dude stfu up .Milkthecow is a power bottom gay refrence anyway. And what would a lilly know about a Shark?? Moron. Go enjoy your Toyota..lol crash, boom, fire ,death..

  • wish i was as much of a whitehorse e-thug as you. i have a Trans Am funnyfuck. thats why this commercial pissed me off in the fist place, its a copy of the Trans Am "hungry" commerial. ps having a toyota would be better than having no car at all, instead of beating it to videos of camaros all day and talking e-shit.

  • Hey look its milkthecow AKA power bottom!

trying to impress all the girls with his pathetic "84" Trans Am and cruising town in his letterman jacket. Good job loser. Now get back to the drive thru window Chop! Chop!

  • my point exactly.

  • We're in america. We don't give a crap what tiburon means in spanish. Your a big man puttin down a woman.

  • paid for with your tax dollars

  • @DyeTyme Amen to that. I want a refund.

  • Dye - this didn't cost the tax payers a penny. GM employees made it at their own expense on their own time for an internal employee contest.

  • Where is the Flex-Fuel version of the Camero? Where is the Flex-Fuel version of the Malibu?

I won't buy a gasoline powered car again. I don't want my money going to middle-east terrorists. I only want to buy American-made cars and trucks, fueled by American made fuel.

  • @av8tor17b

    A) Not everyone from the Middle East is a terrorist.

    B) E85 is actually hurting our economy because the land and crops could be used for food,

    C) With E85, you get like 60% of the fuel economy you'd get with gas, and

    D) If you are in fact an "av8tor," you are using far more gas than any car.

  • A) But some are.

    B) E85 is helping the economy. 60% of our land today lies fallow, growing nothing. We just had the largest corn crop in the history of our country, averaging 165 bushels per acre, on less land that previously used.

    C) No, you get about 85% of the fuel economy as gasoline. Gasoline gets about 80% of the fuel economy as diesel. By your logic we should all be driving diesel. The fact is E85 is lower priced, so it just about matched gasoline in cost per mile.

    D) Gliders.

  • I had no idea that in some places, ethanol was cheaper than gasoline. In the metropolitan area where I live, if you can find it, it sure as hell isn't less expensive. Second, I AM in fact saying that we should drive diesels, assuming that they comply with the EPA's strict emissions guidelines. Also, if history tells us anything, it says that overgrowing can lead to MAJOR problems. And, finally, I am looking at the EPA site for the Ram, and on E85 it gets 66.7% of the economy of the gas.

  • The V6 version gets 29mpg (EPA rating). That's pretty good for a muscle car. Of course that depends on how you drive :)

  • the v6 is not a muscle car.

LS1 4th gen camaros were capable of 29mpg highway as well,

  • Have you driven this Camaro? I will tell you it is the most fun car to drive ever! I don't know if it has to be a V8 to be labeled a muscle car or not. All I know is that it is a "fun" car to drive! It is hot, gorgeous, and incredibly comfortable to drive. Would you like to test drive one?

  • The Camaro is the best car Chevrolet makes.

  • Still a muscle car, just with less muscle. LS1's have never been capable of 29mpg my dad has an '02 SS that can get pretty good gas milage if you drive in 6th on highway (turns about 1500 rpm) but still wasn't getting 29. That's not what these cars are made for anyway.

  • Do you know that our Chevy Cruze, coming out this Nov. will get almost 40 mpg with a 1.4L gasoline engine? Maybe you'd like a Chevy Volt - no gas used at all if you're daily commute is 40 miles or less!!!

  • First, learn how to spell Camaro. Second, the Camaro is an american muscle car icon since 1967 it's about horsepower and style, not gas milage. I sure hope I never see the day when Camaro, Mustang, and Challenger fight for which goes farther on a battery. I did like your point on the terrorist part though.

  • Sorry my bad, I was trying to compare Chevys latest sport offering (2010) to a Hyundai Latest sport offering (2010). Comparing Chevy latest model to Hyundai discontinued 2009 model just didnt seem very fair to Hyundai to me. Ive read the reviews and Ive driven the cars. And while I certainly dont consider myself a gearhead -- Come on, Tiburon or Genesis theyre both bait fish when it comes down to it.

  • @katiedidbid

You can't really compare a Genesis to a Tiburon- the Tib is a half-assed, cheapish FWD car, while the Genesis is a RWD sports car.

  • aiming to compete with the Tiburon. Chevy is really aiming high. lol.

  • funny

  • Nice! I liked that it ate a non-gm car lol. I loved it!

  • gay

  • Ha nice.

  • Dee Dee Dee

  • Wow they got a bunch of retards working for gm

oh and that "Baddest" should have been "Worst"

  • thats why they have "baddest" in quotations. Why, you think "may the worst car win" sounds like a better slogan for a car commercial?

  • crap

  • Well done!

  • sucks

  • in fact, tiburon means shark in spanish,

  • 1. wow way to copy the Trans Am 'hungry' commercial,

    2. burping out of your ass.. really?

    3. the Tiburon looks alot more like a shark.

  • That wimpy Tiburon looks more like a Bluegill to me.

  • people dont buy tiburons to make themselves feel badass. you look like a bluegill.

  • Hmmm. . . . Car and Driver compared the V6 Camero to the Tiburon and said it was a good match up. The V6 Camero Won based on the Tiburons harsh ride lack of drive refinement.

The V6 Camero beat the Tiburon for gas mileage too

    Carmeo=18/29 City/Highway MPG

    Tiburon=18/27 City/Highway MPG

So why do people buy a Hyundai Tiburon?

To put a little protein in their Cameros diet perhaps?

  • no they put the CamAro up against the Hyundai Genesis. not TIburon.

please learn to get facts straight and spell correctly. otherwise get back into the kitchen.

  • looks like some one seen too much shark week

DO GM employees nominally do this?

or is this a new game maybe they can ask for more money, when the new volt comes out

  • nice commercial

  • Well done!

  • hahahhaha

  • This is HOTTT!!

  • thats sweet

  • Nice stunt driving, brother! It's a shark eat Tiburon world out there! Congrats on the win to the whole team!

  • Great job on this video! Excellent work to all of you

  • that's awesome. makes me wanna buy a V6 Camaro.

  • I love that commercial!

  • Love it!

  • Very Good. looks like it was an afternoon of fun. Gm employees believing in their company. Congratulation.

  • the camaro is such an agressive car... it showed that stupid hyundai who's boss

  • Too cool

  • Bravo!

  • The quality was limited because of the microsite used for submission. It was a lot of fun making this in one day of shooting and a few nights of editing, Congrats to the whole team. May the best car win!

  • @jstew54 This was your vid? good job I loved it. Good effort and great message!

  • @bajabusta A team of 5 GM employees that I was a part of... Thanks... should have eaten a Mustang instead...

  • well I am a gm guy through and through, If you saw my page you will see this is true, but more than that I am an american car fan, so the Hyundai is fine w/ me!

  • @jstew54 Very nice. Keep GM good!

  • stupid hyundai drivers.

  • Well, I guess Im not real familiar with the digestive track of a Chevy Camaro so Im not sure which direction the plate would come from but maybe eating a hyundai Tiburon had a particularly BAD effect on the Camaros constitution--if you know what I mean.

Come on Dan, this was an employee video after all -- lighten up.

  • That... is.... EPIC!
