  • Brilliant video! Looks you had a great race alright. :)

  • @joshuajghill

It was really, really good. :) When such a long race is still wide open on the last laps its good, good, good.

  • /watch?v=hgBIeH3CsUg&feature=colike

  • really great stuff ... like a lot of the carpaints ... good work ... stabizisback iracing videos are the bests ;)

  • @nastysan

    Thanks!

  • Going back and forth with the POV's while you were sitting in the pits, trying to finish your pit stop before your competitor overtakes you, was classic tension filled editing. Don't think we didn't notice :)

  • @redpod

    Hehe! :)

  • Brilliant video - watched it while waiting to pick my wife up at the station!

  • @VideoUser3053

Did you speed on the way home?

  • Nice vid as always !

2,4 hours and people still crashing in turn one !

  • d(^_^)b

  • Very nice :)

  • @Paps1984

    Thanks, mate!

  • Radicals FTW!

  • @peichpk2

    n00bs ;)

  • @stabizisback btw tight pit with AJ

    ;) and nice recap!

  • Some heart stopping moments in there. But overall this looks like one heck of an event with some real close racing. A superb video Stabiz.

And that rear window camera is just... brilliant.

  • @GrannySmith1313

Great fun. Now I am waiting for day to night transitions and driver swaps. :)

  • Great video by the way, great drive

  • Or at least for the first bits of the race

  • Just curious, did you have to borrow someone's replay file? I don't hear the shifting sounds when on board with you.

  • @924RARChevette

Good catch. :) Yeah, the first 6 minutes or so is someone elses replay. I forgot to enable spooling, so my replay started on lap 14. Not a big problem, but the car movement loses some fidelity, and somehow the gear ratios are wrong.

  • Great video! I liked the shot of your car in au rouge while he pitted out.

  • Very nice job putting this together. I'm John G. Hill in iRacing. Very exciting after the 11:30 mark. That's when the field soon goes to green after a prolonged yellow flag.

  • @redpod

    Thanks, John!

  • Nice.

I might make a video about my adventures in GT2

  • @poguemahone82

    Do it!

  • Would you ever consider doing a video for another league? I'm a fan of your work and started a league on Iracing and would be honored if you did a video for us, name your price.

  • Great vid, thanks for making this! I'm in the orange/white Ford GT, and somehow managed to avoid all the carnage :D Oh, and it's SSCA by the way, SCCA is a real life equivalent.

  • @JazzGreenway

    Doh! :)

  • Fantastic race and a fantastic recap. I think the GT1 fight was most entertaining to watch. You drove very well too bad your pit crew sucked :) .

I really fell like I was robed of this race, whom ever decided not to send me the password really ruined my day. :( I'm going to try and make the Sebring race though, maybe I'll see you there.

  • @BK0125

Thanks! I am sad Evan crashed, because we were three guys there on pretty much identical pace. Actually, I think that sneaky bastard short fueled to get track position. :) It was 2x full tank and one shorter stint, so he might have opted for the short one in the middle.

That is weird you didnt get the password, must have been a mistake. I got the mail several days in advance. Btw, the servers on race day were with the old pass, just the race had a different one.

  • @stabizisback

Hehe that's pretty sneaky, good strategy though. Yeah that crash totally sucked, the fight with AJ was still interesting.

The problem with the password was due to me being in the reserve list, so had to wait till the last 15 mins to see if there were any open spaces. I'm sure it was due to the last minute rush.

  • @BK0125

Oh, you didnt see the fill-the-grid server? AJ was a reserve driver, he got in by joining that server. Ted came there and handed out the password before qual.

  • @stabizisback

That server had a password too and I didn't get that one either, lol pretty funny when you think about it, a password for the password. :)

  • @BK0125

Ah, then I see. Thats a bummer.

  • @stabizisback haha no not even, I filled my tank fully.

But I'm prolly consuming less fuel than you due to my right foot braking so maybe I had less to fill.

  • Nice video Fred - I'm looking forward to the next endurance event, glad I was not at the back after the restart lol.

  • Nice one!

Love the paint as well :)

Was a bit baffled with the safety car coming out, first time i´ve seen that in a road race.

What needs to happen in order for the Safety car to come out? Massive pile up?

  • @GeneralRushHour

Hey! Yeah, me too! Lots of confusion. :) The organizers told everyone that if things didnt calm down (there was a few drivers doing pretty marginal manouvers) they would throw a full course caution to calm things down. One was black flagged. But as you see, the old saying of "safety car breads safety car" hehe.

  • @stabizisback haha true :D

Man 2.4 hours is a lot, i remember getting all dizzy and stuff at the end of the race when i did my 2.4h race :)

  • @GeneralRushHour

There was some unsafe driving going on so the admins decided to throw the SC to calm everyone.

  • cool! damn radicals.. i feel like making simillar video now

  • Awesome race, was this a league race or iRacing official event?

  • @carizababer

    League race.:)

  • Great video as it told a story. Actually liked the simpler camera shots as they were composed very well and felt reminiscent of watching 60s and 70s racing footage especially as there was no music. Nice one.

  • @ajp303

Thanks! I just gave up after all the software crashes. :)

  • It was interesting race before FCY came out. Some great battles.

Nice video, cool report on the race.

  • AMAZING AWESOME FRED.

  • I thought there will be no crashes but then domino effect. That 43 (?) after mistake catch you pretty fast. So what happen to the leading Corvette ? is that was 08 ?

  • @devxc

Yeah, it can probably be a bit confusing at times. The only Corvettes that lead were Evan in the yellow that crashed (he got by me in the pits), AJ in the read and black Radicals car (got by me and Evan because he pitted one lap later, just as the safety car came out) and me. The other Corvettes you sometimes see ahead are being lapped. Gaps go up and down pretty drastically depending on traffic situations, so a 3-4 second lead is the same as 4 tenths in a single class series, lol.

  • @stabizisback I didn't get what u write after Evan crash silly me. Now it's crystal clear. Thanks ;]

  • I guess you won? Damn nice video to watch even tho it was long, it really does turn into a story :)

  • @Hompesbusbil

Yeah, won in the end. Hard to shake off that damned AJ. :) (Same guy I battled with in the Dogfight video)

  • great race-diary ;)

  • @00rosh87

    Thanks!

  • @stabizisback U have win GT1 class? I've also written a request on Ur channel because I can't write a PM

  • @00rosh87

    Yeah, close win. :)
