I love how they had the part with the Doctor saying, "I forgive you" at the end. That part made me cry when I watched "Last of the Time Lords" the first time. :') This song is so fitting of the Master's personality though, seriously, lol.
I'll be honest. This version of the Master is the best. Mostly because he's actually REALLY similar to the Doctor in some ways. You could even argue that he's exactly the same, save that his goal is to rule the universe as opposed to healing it (heavily indicated by name choices). Other than that, they both wear kooky outfits, keep companions around, have odd quirks, can go from serious to joking in two seconds flat, and REALLY dislike traitors.

i miss Tennant :( i really dont like Matt Smith. Rubbish compared to Tennant, i have been in love with Doctor Who for years and he has actually turned me off it. I cant wait till this series is over and we get a new Doctor. Eccleston was by far the best recent doctor :) He is such a good actor!

A Magnificent Bastard is a genius villain who isn't afraid to handle things personally, who always does things in style, who is too smart to fall for other villain-related tropes, who manages to turn the odds in their favor no matter HOW stacked the odds previously were, and who, despite being so completely evil and horrible, everyone in the audience kinda likes them. The only two I can think of? Lionel Luthor of Smallville, and this version of The Master. Gotta love 'em.

@140JOJO Well, you can't start at any episode, but you could start at the beginning of any season. Doctor Who seasons are split into two lots - the "Classic series", about thirty seasons from the 60s until it was cancelled in the late 80s. Then the show was un-cancelled in 2005, creating the "New series" or "Post-revival series". If I was you, I'd start from there. Christopher Eccleston era. There's 5 seasons in the new series so if you get through them and like it, start on the classic one.
I think it sums up the Master's feelings to the Doctor. It's a Love-Hate relationship.
He's hates the Doctor for foiling his plans but he loves him for able to keep up - a worthy foe. It's like the Batman and the Joker, except more of a Ra'az Al
Ghul on the Masters part. They're two of the smartest beings in all creation and everytime they meet... sparks fly!
For everything RTD did right or wrong on the show, at least unlike Phillip Segal he had the brains to cast an actor as the Master who understood how to play the part and had halfway decent, if incredible, chemistry with the actor playing the Doctor.
if you watch the episode on dvd (itunes versions don't have the songs last time I read about the differant versions) it's clear that she has bruises around her eyes hence the Master was beating at that point.
I love how the Master has the Doctor sleeping inside a tent with a dog bowl outside of it! The legendary doctor reduced to a mere pet. Citizens rejoice the Master stands on high!!

Remember the mention of Bill Gates? According to the Doctor Who encylopedia that covers this episode there was a celeb purge ordered by the master that killed off many of the actors, royalty etc.

I don't watch this show but I like this song so here I am. Great job on the video. Very nicely synced. I think I'll check this show out. Is it one of those shows where I can start with any episode or should I start from season 1?

@140JOJO Well, you can't start at any episode, but you could start at the beginning of any season. Doctor Who seasons are split into two lots - the "Classic series", about thirty seasons from the 60s until it was cancelled in the late 80s. Then the show was un-cancelled in 2005, creating the "New series" or "Post-revival series". If I was you, I'd start from there. Christopher Eccleston era. There's 5 seasons in the new series so if you get through them and like it, start on the classic one.

I think it sums up the Master's feelings to the Doctor. It's a Love-Hate relationship.
He's hates the Doctor for foiling his plans but he loves him for able to keep up - a worthy foe. It's like the Batman and the Joker, except more of a Ra'az Al
Ghul on the Masters part. They're two of the smartest beings in all creation and everytime they meet... sparks fly!

For everything RTD did right or wrong on the show, at least unlike Phillip Segal he had the brains to cast an actor as the Master who understood how to play the part and had halfway decent, if incredible, chemistry with the actor playing the Doctor.

if you watch the episode on dvd (itunes versions don't have the songs last time I read about the differant versions) it's clear that she has bruises around her eyes hence the Master was beating at that point.
