to clear up some facts... 1. they lip sang in the 50s and 60s just like they do now.. notice that they rarely have microphones in these old live videos. It aids in providing a quicker set up for a band between segments of the show and for a quality performance.. I personally like hearing imperfections in the music knowing it's live. 2. Sedaka wrote many songs.. even his known songs, he did have a songwriting partner, but he also wrote songs for other artists as well.

Love the song and the singer. Neil Sedaka is one of the all time great singer songwriter and composers of our time. Love the way he realises which camera he should be on and smiles at his own error. Also like the fact that since the early days of his career Mr Sedaka has refused to lip sync, although I must admit it does look like he is lip syncing on this video.
