  • Ian Gillan era invencível nessa época! O que ele fez que sumiu com a própria voz meros 4 anos depois?

  • @Parnasian Álcool

  • Gillians forte was hardly to sing clean live.

  • maldito ian paice

  • that singers' got such poise

  • Glover's best jam with DP

  • Őrizd meg a felvételeket, szinte már az arany árával vetekszik...! " OK" !!!!

  • @lelkesferi DVD-n is kiadták, nekem is megvan, fellelhető.

  • One of their best songs. Now i am going with my time machine back in '72 to visit danish capital.

  • watch?v=ZzpoEGJdEvs....Cooooooool !!!!

  • я с этой музыкой вырос.... в 72ом я пошел во второй класс и уже это были мои кумиры, которые остаются по сей день)))))

  • the very first heavy metal song...deep purple rules

  • Nice plagiarism ;) !

  • lol, i never noticed how the bass player reminds me of Slash or vice versa...

  • Blackmore and Lord need to SHUT-THE-FUCK-UP while Ian Paice is doing the drum into.

  • Ian Gillan - King of Rock.

  • one of the best fucking drummer and bass player. it's nice to see solos from them, kinda a break from the usual keyboard and guitar solos (those are good, but varieties nice) lets see the pussies that call themselves rock nowadays do that.

  • Ritchie!! Amigo!! Tune your guitar before you play man!

  • I wonder why they filmed Ian Paice during the bass solo and why they filmed Roger Glover during the organsolo...

  • Ian Gillan=fail.

  • watch?v=ZzpoEGJdEvs !!!!!!!!!!

  • And today 28 sep. 2011, this place - the KB-Hallen - burned down in a giant Fireball and the place for so many great music memories disappeared. Beatles played their only Denmark gig there ... Sad sad :-(

  • The Best band 4ever long live rock and roll and Deep Purple

  • an anyone plz give me a link to a video, where he actually says, "John lennon I FUCK you" i think it was in 1971, but can't find :'(

  • thanks for posting!!! tremendous simply tremendous;raw emotion captured...

truly some of the godfathers of heavy metal indeed.

    Long live Maestro Ian.

  • so ahead of their time

  • u guys are mean. chill man. everyone is entitled to there own opinion. how old r u 12?

  • @jazzylady75 Well you must be 12 with text speak like that.

  • ударная установка по современным меркам примитив а звучит то как ааа

  • @ssk3431070 FUCK YOU!

  • yeh i know its a good band aye!!

  • X japanのヨシキがドラムソロでパクってます!!

  • Ian Gillan always had a problem with hitting notes a bit flat, but he's still one of my favorite vocalists.

  • Monitors were not existant or merely sucky back then.

  • Awlright...

  • Did you know that Lars Ulrich is in that crowd somewhere

  • @MegaSwimmerman really?

  • Ian Paice kicks ass!

  • ナイス・ドラム

    イアンペイス!!!!!

  • Holy shitcthat fucken rocked

  • Ian Gillan played this Gig with a filthy Flu... Thats why you see him Gulping for breath before each scream.. Video is in Copenhagen but...This album was recorded in Switzerland in an abandoned hotel ,with a recording Mobile Unit.. because the place they were to record the album was "Burn't to the Ground" the night before by Frank Zappa and the Mothers.. They done something stupid with a flair gun .. and burn't the place to the ground...hence..

  • That Drumming!!! :'O

  • fuck me dead he really did play double bass back then! what a fuckin'GOD come on people he needs to be worshipped right now....let's give him a golden credit for this...Ian Paice is the MAN....

  • @madometal Ian is GOD

  • GODS!!!

  • never singing like this

  • Ian paice = awesome

  • Ian Gillian singing so flat? Must be bad monitors.

  • @jajones1952 This was 1972, there were no good monitors.

  • como se llama el lugar donde tocaron

  • THE TOP MUSICIAN IN THE BAND IS THE ORGAN PLAYER..

  • @alexisnihon1 Jon Lord, he rocks. But im not sure you can single out one of them - they are all really talented at what they do, hence the monster of Deep Purple!

  • @alexisnihon1 organ player is the only one with a master degree of music..he does all the arrangements for deep purple...runs a big orchestra of 100 musicians writes all the charts down for all the orchestra,,very talented

  • I'm sorry, the bass solo in this song is awful, I have no idea what Glover was doing. Listening to this and Pictures of Home, I can't believe it's the same guy.

  • @Natejitsu I'm sure whiskey or drugs had nothing to do with it... ;) Maybe just a bad day at the office.

  • IAN PAICE ON THE DRUMS ...YEAH!!!!

  • Before there was punk rock, Motorhead, Slayer, death metal, black metal, thrash metal, hardcore, etc, there was this.

  • @Goatskull yeah.. but wouldn't it be boring if every band sounded like them?

  • @xTheStifflers

Absolutely. I love all that stuff, but still good to appreciate it's roots.

  • @Goatskull oh really? And what was before this my dear Watson? Rock'n'Roll, that's what. And Motörhead is Rock'n'Roll!

  • @metalbonicks Uh no disagreement with you. Not sure what your point is. The point of my post is that this performance was very fast and loud for it's time and in my opinion it helped lay the foundation for the other genres I mentioned. To me it's ALL rock and roll.

  • Comment removed

  • @Goatskull yeah, I know, but you can't put a band like Motörhead into frames of a genre. Yeah you could say Slayer, Metallica, King Diamond, Iron Maiden and Venom were before this, but Motörhead (and Lemmy) comes from Rock'n'Roll; Little Richard, Eddie Cochran, Buddy Holly, The Beatles etc. It never was a 2nd gen band, like most of the NWOBHM.. It's as equal as Purple, Zepp & Sabb by the influence to others, 'cos it was real Rock'nRoll, only louder, faster, gruffer & simple as punk rock..

  • @metalbonicks well,Motorhead is Motorhead but Slayer sucks.

  • This song makes me want to be a guitarist... no, wait a keyboardist...no, maybe a drummer... i don't know

  • @vmcookr87 a bassist?

  • @overdriven77 haha, interesting thought...

  • @vmcookr87 perhaps a singer or a bassist? :D

  • @TartuRockFanNr1 nah... i'm married now to my guitar; i'm one of the worst singers you could ever meet

  • again, we need a EPIC button!!!!

  • perhaps the very basis of the moder speed/power metal?? the double bass, the high pitched vocals, the virtuous guitars,,,!

  • watch?v=ZzpoEGJdEvs

  • purple class

  • Their last good album.

  • @thegreenolivo because you dont know how to enjoy music

  • @craigerboy1 You're an ass. Go listen to "MY Woman From Tokyo."

  • ian and a double bass? i did not know i thought he did this single foot

  • @drummermizike I believe this is the only song he used double bass on.

  • ian and a double bass? i did not know

  • I remember watching chunks of this concert on VHS when I was a kid

  • Mein Gott, da werde ich als Rockliebhaber und auch als Musiker fürchterlich nostalgisch. Ich könnte weinen weil ich das Glück hatte dieses Pralinchen hier gefunden zu haben.

  • the power-TRIO

    BLACKMORE-LORD-PAICE

    End of story.

    paul Bonham mavrakis

  • My father likes Fireball :-)

  • "alright, here's a thing..." haha what an understatement

  • did you hear Glovers bass sound 1:53 ?!?!?!? )))) yeaaaahh baby

  • did you hear Glovers bass sound?!?!?!? )))) yeaaaahh baby

  • Insane drumming <33333 one of the reasons why I fell in love with this song!

  • the mix is really strange compare to other live recordings of dp,sometime this sounds like if it was recorded near the stage from the audience, but i know its soundboard...just its strange :/

  • don't know why but Ritchie is really low in the mix :/

  • Did Richie sweep at the begining of the vid?? I shure sounded like he did.

  • thirteen losers were burned by the fireball

  • @gustavolxp scratch that 16

  • @gustavolxp like for real eh?! how the FUCK could ANYONE not like this?!

  • purple stole this song from warpig. their song rock star is identical for the 1st minute and came out 2 yrs earlier.

  • it's thanks to this live VHS/DVD that I started playin' bass.. Thanks Roger!! Deep Purple is the best rock band ever!

  • The 1st thrash metal song?!

  • @djgforce11 Hmmm... xD

  • Our band played hard rock in the early 70's and worshipped Ian Paice right up there with Ginger Baker, Keith Moon, Carmine Appice and Mitch Mitchell. On Fireball Ian unleashed a killer rock drum intro and threw in some extra jazz drum licks. The first time I heard The Fireball intro in 1971 I wondered how one drummer was able to play everything I was hearing.

  • @terryorr Yngwie malmsteen???

  • @terryorr one of the most under-rated drummers ever, and a living god! amen brother

  • @terryorr Ian is poSESSED.

  • @terryorr Right ! I was a friend of a very good Hungarian rock band in the 80's. They played DP as well, but never the Fireball song. I asked the drummer, why. He said, it is impossible to repeate it. Even the extremely talented guitarrist had very-very hard long nights with Ritchie's works to copy, but Ian's piece was not possible to copy at all. He said. So, yes, he unleashed something not earthlike thing there. Long Live Rock'n' Roll !!!!

  • no question, deep purple was one of the best rock bands of the 70's. paice is awesome in this song!

  • Forget Black Sabbath..This is the first metal!!

  • when i look at the simple set up that Richie has it is truly a marvel. He did not have to rely on so many pedals and gadgets. I guess he talent carried him

  • SMOKIN"!!! One of the greatest bands EVER that have never been given their proper respect!!!! By the way, I've seen them 5 times in the last 10 years and they are still SMOKIN"!!!

  • c'era qualcosa di magico in quel periodo .musica incredibile.

  • it's wonderful to see those children who went crazy under the stage... what an epic period!

  • what an soundcheck

  • haha start of the video they put on the second bass drum

    like ITS READY TO RUMBLE

  • Top Gay Tune,TY

  • Paice... takes my breath away...

  • Ian Gillan has one of the best voicess i have ever heard!

  • i moved to canada i n 72 deep purple n alice cooper,yeah baby,never been the sane

  • Ian Gillian is and will be the best singer that has had deep purple ... I think is marvelous!!!

    Long live deep purple !!!!!!

  • fucken aye he is, i love ian gillan and this famous line up!

  • C if you'd asked the rigt people, this woulda bin solved a long time agao. Hi.

  • grandissimi deep purple

  • I love this band! I saw them live a couple years ago and they're still great!!!

  • Fender and Marshall, a match made in heaven.

  • @hss1949 Gibson and Marshall are a good match 2

  • @RebelHardy yes i think it is a stupid discussion which is the best guitar or wtf

everybody got different favs for me both fender and gibson make great guitars and of course marshall is legendary awesome and expensive too.

  • Comment removed

  • I think they called it rock...

  • uh oh looks like somebody got some acid

  • Ian Paice is un-fukkin-beleviable. For Gods sake!!! Early seventies purple for the win!!

  • Ian Paice, in my humble opinion, is pretty much the best classic rock drummer who will ever live..his taste, the ability to play those amazing ghost notes, and his shear speed and rhythm is unreal...but that's just my 2 cents...

  • @chunter5100

You're correct. I also believe Paice belongs up there with the other greats, i.e., the late Mitch Mitchell of the Jimi Hendrix Experience, (check out Killing Floor at the Monterrey Pop Festival), and of course, Ginger Baker, formerly of Cream. They are all close, neck and neck. IMO.

  • @glaetze

Yes, your absolutely right glaetze, all of these drummers were so important to each of their respective band on shaping the overall way the way the band sounded!. In other words, I don't think Ian Paice would have been as good as Mitch Mitchell was for Jimi Hendrix, or for that matter, as good as John Bonham

was for Led Zepplin.....each ot the drummers you mentioned and such a unique style that you could tell who it was by listening to the first 3 seconds of the song...

  • @glaetze

    Part 2 of the reply...

Unfortunately, i don't think we are going to see that caliber of drummer again, not that there isn't the talent out there, it's just the state , or lack of , Rock today...but that's just my 2 cents

  • @chunter5100 That's true, I am a massive fan of Paice and there aren't many good drummers these days, they don't serve the song, but if you don't mind going a little heavier, may I recommend Bran Dailor of Mastodon? I think he is the best *new* drummer around. Also, might I recommend ?uestlove from the Roots, who in my opinion is a superb rock drummer though he drums in a hip hop band (check the Led Zeppelin cover)

  • @endofsomething I will absolutely check out those drummers endofsomething! Thank you so much for turning me on to them! That means a lot to me ...that is so cool...

  • @chunter5100 Hey, no problems. Music was made to be shared.

  • @endofsomething Hi checked out Bran Dailor...amazing young drummer , very fast...what was funny is how he never knew to play with the bass player , because no bass players showed up at his house to practice with him! lol....he is pretty good..hope he finds a better band to play with....

  • @chunter5100 I actually rate Mastodon quite highly as a band. Along with The Mars Volta, they are one of the few interesting acts around these days. I am 25 years old, raised on rock n roll 45's, Motown singles and classic 70's rock...Where's my generation's heroes? I feel cheated. There are some good little bands but you rarely find them on major labels. Most new rock music sucks because its made by dipshits who sell out before they even play a note. I love Purple, My Bro and I prefer DP to Zep

  • i hope that camera man is dead

  • That's pretty wild that in the days before double bass drum pedals, Ian Paice had a roadie bring an additional bass drum JUST for Fireball!!! I guess he didn't want to look like all of the other drummers with two bass drums(Bill Ward, Ginger Baker, Ron Tutt(Elvis's drummer, for godsakes!), Keith Moon, Mitch Mitchell, etc.) This is a great DVD folks!!! Pick it up. Aside from this Denmark show, there is also a ABC concert special from 1973 in N.Y., and it has "Burn" from California Jam 1974.

  • I Love You Ian Gillian

  • Ritchie Blackmore seems like such a serious chap, but boy can he rock it out

  • Although they are all great players, Glover I think was the glue that held the whole thing together. And out of all of them, he still rocks the hardest.

  • @subsonic44

    Roger is god.

  • I don't know they still use back&white TV in 1972?

  • @The12Child they used to broadcast in colour and black and white.

  • the ultimate purple jam!!!

  • The beeest band of all time !!!! I love them with my hole heart! Gillan is crazyy

  • Flopsy, here is some for ya. . . .

  • Charles Manson is the best

  • probably the only instance where Paice used a double bass setup. notice they had to bring it out specifically!

  • if you want the best you've got the best the hardest band in the world.....

  • RITCHIE, JON and PAICE = GODS

  • hot as my bollocks

  • Iiiiiii - haaaaay !

    Тако се то ради !!

  • Yeah, that's a tough bass solo to replicate clean live.

  • roger glover sounds like he fucked up on the bass solo

  • great footage! I really wished all bands like Deep Purple would do EVERYTHING possible to restore as much as possible from stuff like this !

  • grande richie el mas grande gitarrista dela historia del rock

  • OMG! Ian Paice playing Double Bass?!?!

  • @Winonasalibi no i'm pretty sure he's playing drums.... just jokes haha

  • @theicedman

    hahahaha..... good one!

  • Yeah, I think all of them are outlanders, especially Ritchie.... I just can not believe how they could meet, to be honest .

  • love to see blackmore dancing at 2:25...

  • 38 years are gone. Oh my god, I was there in 1972. But I am still young!!

  • @Steinwayfan LUCKY YOU,HERE I AM DYING TO SEE THEM PERFORM LIVE HA HA HA !

  • @nba2065

    seen them 3 times.

once opened for 'zep. big mistake for zep.

once tho...as all of audience, the band was on 'purple barrel'. my hero Ritchie would just shake his head on leads like 'highway star and such. funny but dissapointing. all others ,,,'fucking rocked'.

  • @Steinwayfan nice 1 mate

  • ian paice is a BEAST!!!!!!

  • @jbassman666 he is the greatest drummer of all time

  • @jbassman666 awesome! the best beast

  • Actually: A nice piece of Paice doing it with double bass drum-system!

  • @jbassman666

A nice pice of footage that show Paice at his best with douple-Speed-Kings!
