Why do we not find a profusion of such videos from USA government agencies, industry associations, equipment manufacturers, trade unions, insurance companies & such? Thank you WorkSafeBC for posting these where we in the States can view! I've been working around heavy machinery in the USA for over 40 years, and have viewed less than two hours of safety training video on-the-job in that period!
You can see them here no matter where they are made.
But far as I'm concerned, the US Govt and agencies don't care as much as they lead us to think they do.
Corruption, payoffs and incompetance also come to mind.
These videos by a CANADIAN agency here are top notch, especially the re-enactment videos showing how various accidents happened or probably happened and why.
Thanks for posting. It will not bring back this poor fellow. Hopefully will educate people on safer ways to work. I was watching one of Worksafe youtube reports on a young man who lost his life pulling rain gutter up to roof. It hit a high voltage line. 4 or 5 months later I read in Paper of another young man in Vancouver killed in exactley the same way. Worksafe has to advertise there youtube reports better. The more people reading the more the word getting out
