  • it is so difficultly than simple Arthroscopic method, but you are great

  • I was intrigued to watch this video as I am due to have a similar operation (not double bundle though) hopefully in September by this same surgeon (Mr Sampath). I have 100% confidence in this procedure and I am looking forward to making an excellent recovery and getting back to my sports again.

  • Dear Tiquette02,

Thank you for your comment on what might very well be the most advanced technique for ACL (anterior cruciate) reconstruction available.

    Regards,

    The Bluespot Team

  • ganito pla gnwa nla s knee ko...ouch!!!!!

  • Hi Leshka6,

After this minimally invasive computer aided ACL reconstruction, the patient was able to lift his leg, bend his knee and go home within 24 hr.

  • man that guy must of woken up with a massive head ache. och the body can sure take a lot of damage

  • That's kinda gross

  • All the cutting makes me wanna trough up

  • Hi Mike,

From your description, your scar is very much longer than the ones we make. Our approach is arthroscopic (keyhole surgery). The graft is harvested through a 3cm incision. It sounds like you may have had a repair of a torn lateral collateral ligament.

  • i had a 85% torn knee tendon in an accident my scar is very long and curved and starts at the base of my knee and comes up the side of my knee on the outside i had it three years ago, was the surgery somewhat like this?

  • Hi DustinAndNatasha,

    Thanks for you comment.

The procedure is done under a general anaesthetic with infiltration of long acting local anaesthetic into the incisions. This provides excellent relief from pain

  • Looks painful

  • i flinched when i watched this for 5 seconds and switched the vid immediatly

  • Hi Noodles356,

Unfortunately, this technique was not available when you had your ACL reconstruction.

  • HI RussianBear5000,

We are not allowed, because of medical ethics issues, to divulge details of individual patients.

In general ,however, patients get this type of injury playing football, basketball, hockey or skiing etc.

Yes, it is possible to return to power lifting provided the operation and rehab is properly done

  • How did he get this injury? I squat and do a lot of leg work, power sets. And i'd like to know whether it's possible to continue power lifting after this sort of injury.

  • Promised i'd look! Enjoyed it. Thank you. Michelle

  • Hi 5kerenza,

This operation is done for patients who have torn the anterior cruciate ligament of the knee. After this type of injury , the knee can give way and be unstable. Accurate replacement of the torn cruciate ligament by hamstring tendon by a Bluespot Knee Clinic Surgeon using a computer provides a stable knee.

  • what is this for

  • Hi Itzzy 11,

Thanks for your comment. The computer is really good at showing where to drill the tunnels for each graft accurately so it actually gives the surgeon confidence. The patients also get a certificate comparing the computer measured instability before with the measurements after.

This gives the patients confidence to do their rehab.

  • its amazing how doctors know what to do...i wudve accidently fucked up his knee for good

  • Thank you for your comment. There are indeed three more incisions than usual.

Two are 1/8 inch each and the other one is 1/2 inch. Incisions of this size heal well.

Patients have this surgery because they want accurate surgery.

  • i had my acl reconstruction (hamstring graft) 3 weeks ago and i dont have nearly as many cuts as this

  • i dont know y im watching this, but the whole time i was like D:

  • so kool!!! epic!!! hehe lolz :D
