the underlying technology is awesome, however Haiku has to have an UI able to match what you get with apple and KDE or GNOME in linux if they want people to adopt it (unfortunately people judge things by its looks)
actually I think the GUI is usable, it seems simple and I believe I would learn it fast enough. However I do have a problem with the "atmosphere" that haiku's look and feel create. I wouldn't want to use it for a long period of time. I would like something less cartoonish but still sober enough
"Hide as much inner working as possible" I think its a big mistake, people want to see how stuff works, what is loading on boot, what fails....
