I know this is old and all. Reason I looked this up was because I saw this game available on PSN and wanted to see if it was worth it. Nice LP, very entertaining and all. I just have to say one thing though... Legendary EVERYTHING. This King Snow guy is full of win. That has to be the most epic statement ever spoken...EVER. By any fictional or real person, character, etc. King Snow is my new hero. I dare anyone to find a quote from anywhere else, that tops what King Snow said.

never archieved the sword, if possible i wouldnt even receive the sword of the towns people, the one from the underwater dungeon was good enough.

Well the walkthrough isn't done, so that has yet to be seen. Aside from the intentional deaths in order to get the Legendary Sword, I haven't died at all while making this walkthrough.

well this sucks but... im playing the game on an emulator so i cant save to a memory card... therefore when i die i restart the whole game since it doesnt understand that my saving progress is inside the emulator... so i guess i cant get the sword... if you have a solution u can call me :P

@lineking1 Oh yeah. I see what you mean. Being told by a statue to go into an ancient ruin miles away, having to kill somebody wielding the sword and tell the statue that you won't give it him, rather than be offered the Sword by a statue because you suck at the game. ¬¬'

@smittens888 I'm pretty sure Zelda is the inspiration for pretty much all other puzzles of that kind. Remember how A link to the past is absolutely littered with puzzles just like this game? Alundra and Link have a lot of items in common as well.

But... I would definitely go on an enemy killing spree at least once. Lizards! DEAD! Blobs! DEAD! Those things with weapons! ALSO DEAD! Find any enemy I see... SWORD TO THE FACE!

I don't get it, the King Snow guy was talking about no one having skill enough to obtain the sword, but you have to be really bad to obtain it... Shouldn't it be you can only obtain it if you have never had a death? That would make more sence to me >_>

Think of it like this... if you got injured you would need a crutch to greatly improve the way you move.... thats the LEgendary Sword... no you're not injured therefore you don;t need a crutch.... Which is why you can;t get the legendary sword(I think i probably made no sense)

If you notice when you don't get it he says you are a fine swordsman and don't need it. When you get it he says after all you have endured, (aka all the times you died just to get it) that it would be cruel to NOT give it to you.

The legendary sword aka the snowmans sword you have to die a certain number of times to get. It's sort of a reward for failing.

Most awesome things in games have to be obtained by "earning" them through difficult tasks, this game actually offers it as a help for players who need such weaponry to be able to play the game more easily! I think it's a very original concept of the game designers, and it makes sense to ease the pain of the weaker players rather than make super-skilled players unstoppable.
