  • @vaikisxx Then you don't really like Capoeira. There's more to it than the physical side.

  • @vaikisxx No kidding, man. The music is beautiful in it's own way, and if you can't appreciate that, you're disrespecting the art and what it stands for.

  • Love that scissor takedown.

  • demo muito show...

  • Are these guys from Recife? In Rio and Salvador they don't use Coco music to play Capoeira. I loved it.

  • Not bad. Of course Ive seen better Capoeira, and the movements are not too hard, but I like the lighting scheme and choice of music.

It compliments a demonstration very well.

  • there were nice games.thou i have seen better in our group ^^ and they seemed to be very talented persons

but why did the kicks look so weak at the end?

in that speed they should have been lookking more effectiver

  • CAPOEIRA uma arte marcial BRASILEIRA!!! Uma demo muito boa. \o/

  • The song's name is segura o coco of Mestre Barrao

  • Capoeira rules

  • It´s great! I play capoeira over one year in Czech republic and I watched this video many times

  • Wow! Just like L!

  • ^^ Glad to see another Death Note fan on here. lol That's the only reason I'm watching these vids, because of L. :P

  • Yup, I wanted to see what it looked like in real life.

  • Huh? L does Capoeira? I don't remember seeing this in the anime?

  • Its mentioned in some of the books, and he fucking pwned Light with a kick when they were handcuffed.

  • Ahh I see thanks for letting me know ^_^

  • I've seen Death Note twice... I must've missed the part where they did capoeira. Where? O_o

  • It's demonstrated in the ep where L and Light fight, when L says he's depressed... They're chained for that fight, not sure of the ep #. Anyway, it's never mentioned in the anime or manga that it's Capoeira, but in the LA BB Cases, Naomi Misora tells L about it, and we can only figure that L learned it out of curiosity after that. :P

  • do you seethe algerian capoeristas go to blida capoeira they are my friends from algeria amazing have fun . from majid 35

  • Whats the second song called???

  • CAPOEIRA O MELHOR !!!

  • YOUR A FUCKING MONKEY IDIOT

  • IIt is fairly well know that L's fighting style is similar to copoeira. He was introduced to it by Naomi Misora in the Los Angeles BB Murder cases.

  • You are not so clever, aren´t you?

  • No, they aren't.

  • One day I was alone at home. Turned on The a la Menthe full volume and getting over-inspired threw my legs up standing on my hands.

I got up & crashed down the other side. Ufff... that was quite a crash and my head just banged against the floor.

    One piece of advice:

Don't try to learn it on your own. u will endup in Hospital bed.

  • second piece of adivice

learn it on ur own but learn to fall first

(now i am training my falls i fall from hand stand 200times a day after a while it dont hurt):P

  • @xylority Lol nice!

  • @xylority It depends on a human that is learning. For me it wasn't a problem, crashed badly once but stood up and learned real good moves.

  • @xylority yeah if ur an idiot , it possible to learn on ur own its just like everything else u gotta do it slowly at first n be prepared, n that happened to me once ^ - ^ thank god i landed on me back . lol

  • @xylority ohh it's true :(

  • @xylority i know that feel...

  • Wish I could learn this, I already take a martial art, so I'm already interested in crazy fighting styles. This just looks like a blast...I have searched for schools near me, but the closest one is two hours away, so...tough luck for me, huh? Lol Nice video

I didnt think there was any..and i found one 15 minutes away from my house :P

  • i'll try my best in searching....:)

although learning capoeira here in the philippines is a bit expensive.....

  • hey can you strat it with 18 years? cause i wanna learn it.

  • Off course!but you need a lot of dedication

  • "you need a lot of dedication" ..to get as good as the guys above. However, I am a newbie in capoeira, and I think it's real fun even from the start. And more so with every move I learn. It's not hard finding motivation to practice! :)

  • I'm a newbie too, I just had my first class tonight. I am looking foreward to the next lesson. Oooh but my legs are sore...

  • Qual é o nome dessa música?

  • segura o coco - Axé capoeira

  • This music is incredible.

  • The first Sequence was real Capoeira (Angola)..the Rest is Circus Acrobatics...hasn't much to do with Capoeira Roots...

  • I agree 100% with u, Brest30Kings. Bon axe from Venezuela.

quem estar cantando a musica segura o cocô

    eo mestre Barrão?????????

  • acho que sim

  • i think the second song is magalenha by sergio mendes, but in some other version. does someone know?

  • What's the name of the kick around 2:51? The one who looks like a queixada mixed with parafuso?

  • armada?

  • Martelo parafuso, but the original movement is from armada, not queixada

  • The song is a from Grupo Axé Capoeira, Mestre Barrao...I believe Vol.4 or 5...

Somebody knows the name of the samba song?

  • Segura o Cocô

  • This video is very good. One question though; were the parts when they were playing choreographed?

  • it doesn't look like it

  • no, Capoeira is rarely choreographed, and this isnt it.

  • This is a demo so it is choreographed.

  • There is no choreography here, they are just playing.

  • well in anycase this is good stuff :)

  • I agree. ^^

  • i just love the concept of it .. keeping the centre of gravity low .. so even if it looks like a unstable and unusable martial science .. its actually pretty advanced .. similar to kalari the indian fighting way .. even that looks like a dance ..

wish i had some one to teach me capoeira :(

  • Easy, buy the video tape, dance and kick the air, BUT DO NOT FORGET TO LENGTHEN YOUR BODY BEFORE THE TRAINING OR YOU GET HURT YOURSELF! :D

  • Hi

What do you mean by "Centre of gravity low"

    Sorry for my english

  • have you seen sumos wrestle ? they always crouch .. the centre of gravity is the imaginary point where your weight is supposed to be concentrated .. the lower the more stable your stance is .

  • Interesting!!

    :D

No te derribaran.

  • really nicee but the samba de roda doesnt fit at all with the sao bento and benguela jogos xD. Ne way, nice video. Axé. Cacao de Mexico

  • it was nice but it wouldve been better if the toques fit.

  • great love this game keep u fit

  • Excellent! Beautifully done! THANKS FOR SHARING!

  • Loved it!

    Cheers

  • Exatamente Mestre Barrão quem canta!

  • great thanks need this to help me give thanks be blessed

  • very good!

  • Hotness!

  • well,in the name of truth,that looks g**

  • "Well in the name of the SHUT THE HELL UP jeebus... if you don't know about it just shut the hell up

  • It looks so choreographed without the Roda :(

Over at Sac we don't actually make contact unless we are shaking hands. For us, I guess, it's mostly a dance.

  • You do make some contact with moves such as cabecada.

  • Yea, there is the cabecada, a personal favorite. I got a Mestre one time :)

Alguem ta sabendo a resposta?

  • Yes, it's Barrão

  • Awesome video, nice ilumination. Is that Mestre Barrão on the song?

  • neat video, good choice of music too.
