well this video didn't prove anything. i mean if i jumped even 1000 feet, even though i wont live i can easily land with my feet down. but if the cat was sling shotted or shot out of a cannon and was spiraling in the air and then landed on his feet, the myth would be true.
Pick up a cat, turn it upside down, then let go... see how the cat lands. Then, get someone to pick you up, turn you upside down and let go... see how you land. Repeat as many times as you want.
Compare the results... come up with a conclusion... and see if the 'myth' is actually true.

1. i said the video doesn't prove cats always land on their feet because it was a feet down drop, meaning the cat wasn't upside down. anybody jumping with feet down should land feet down right?
2. what does the myth of cats landing on their feet have to do with how humans land? lol
1) Not always. If that cat didn't have a tail he would have smacked onto the ground with his left side (you can see it spinning its tail as it falls). The higher the fall the greater the twist of the body as it falls.
2) You gave an example of yourself jumping 1000 feet down... and you are human, so I'm just going by what you said.
