  • Turbo charger better than a supercharger let's be realistic supercharger less torque and less boost turbo charger LIL turbo lag but way more boost mor hp out of turbo charger nd it don't mess with your torque as much plus some turbochargers start to boost at 3ooo rpm mine starts at 45000 n it has little lag but when it goes it goess

  • @GEOVANNIMR2BOI You didn't even have to right that all you had to say was Supercharger = takeing power to make power. Turbo = makes power without taking any power. Which means a turbo you have all of your power then you gain how ever much boost you are pushing while the supercharger takes a shit ton of power from the car to move it to make boost. Superchargers are just dumb.

So now he prolly has to save a bit more cash up to buy the specialized carb and intake setup or fuel injection system whichever hes planning on doing to finish his project.   • The turbos on this car reduce horsepower, there is no way around it. Turbochargers increase power output by pressurizing the air going into the engine, more air and fuel makes more power. Other ways to get more air and fuel burning; more displacement, higher rpms, higher efficiency by removing obstructions to air flow (like the turbochargers in this setup) or better combustion of what you have though other means like cams. All the turbos are doing here are blowing air in the exhaust. I'm bored..

  • That looks like an intercooler in front, and the amount of work and money to fab all that up would be alot for a fake setup. I'd say they either have the piping and carb hat removed or they havent fabbed them yet. I don't see any piping bringing boost to the engine and if it were a draw through carb setup there would be pipes from the carb to the inlet of the turbos and no intercooler.

  • Lol @ IC Turbo system. You cant run a carb with them due to the turbos being on the back side of the carb allowing the vacuum to pull in the gas. unfortunatlly the inter coolers would condense the fuel and under pressure ignite. who wants to pool gas in their piping?

  • @MrMattmarshall the exhaust is hook up to get the turbos spining but the boost side look like they are not hook up ,,,,,if you new anything you would know that there is a carbartor on that car and that how it gets it fule the turbo should be hook to that carbarator in some way but it looks like it not,,,,,,,so 42 people are right its not hook up

  • everyone thinking they arent connected is wrong. watch from 5-8 seconds on the turbo on the driver side. you can see the turbine blades go from stationary to spinning when the car starts.

  • This looks like a test of the turbos oiling system. A pressure and seals test at this stage in a build-up like this, can save a TON of headache later on in the build.

    Unless you do this exact thing all day, every day and you've never gotten it wrong, then you can go right ahead and do it all from start to finish before you ever try to turn the motor over. But, for us humans, testing along the way is a very wise practice.

    Besides, they were 3 pipes and 4 couplers from dialing in the waste-gates.

  • @NumbDrums88 I have a twin turbo 3000GT, which I modified with the help of my neighbor. I put on larger turbos, a new manifold, and a whole new fuel system. The only thing I didn't do was the mapping through my AEM ECM. So yeah, I do know what I'm talking about. I'll spell it out for you, the turbocharger has 2 sides, one is connected to the exhaust manifold and the gases spin that turbine which spins the cold or INTAKE side and brings compressed air into the engine, therefore your turbo is

A mass air flow sensor is attached to the intake, doesnt make it an intake. An intake would be connected to the cold side of the compressor. In the video the cars are being run without intakes, "open intake". The equivilant of running a NA car with no intake just open TB. That doesnt make the throttle body the intake now does it? A turbo compresses "intake" air.

  • The car isn't finished yet. There should be a pipe going from the intercooler (which is what I assume the black thing at the front is) to the top of the carb.

    If the black thing isn't the cooler then the pipes should just go straight from the turbo to the carb.
