LDS also utilize faith and preach the same things as Jesus and his apostles and are ridiculed for it.
If your meaning of "Biblical view' is of the interpretation of man by cut&paste scripture, it is a mans view, flawed.

As for my religious background, I got up every day with my family and read the scriptures. There was no discussion of what it meant. If a word was not understood we were told to look it up. By grade school reading was not a problem. We know that we are all the children of God and that he loves all of us. That through prayer we can communicate with him always and that his arm is stretched out still, that all we need to do is grab it and he will lift us up.
I have learned that simply knowing and believing we can be saved through Christ Jesus, is just as helpful as sitting in the mud seeing the out stretched arm of our father knowing he will pull us out and believing he will wipe the mud on us off yet doing nothing.
