OMG I remember playing this game at a resort via that hotel-order system with my cousins back in the late 90's this game was AWESOME but it was SO HARD! We couldn't get past Gangplank Galleon (we couldn't reach that last hook with dixie!) the first year, then the second year we couldn't beat that damn crow XD

Funny story . It was years and years and years since I've played this. And when I first watched Pirates of the Caribbean for one reason or another it made me think of DK2. So I HAD to buy a Super Nintendo and DK 2 . And never looked back!

@underworlddreams1 Yes, the DKC series had amazing graphics, but it was more than just that. I absolutely hate it when people say "The DKC series is sooooo overrated. I mean seriously, people only liked them for the graphics and music. If you look past the audio and visuals, you'll realize just how mediocre they were." I completely disagree. Even without the amazing graphics and audio, the DKC Trilogy (not counting Returns or 64) is perhaps the finest example of platforming of all time.

@James7899 Wasn't one of the main reasons that the SNES won and also why DKC could promote it self so well BECAUSE of the graphics? Of course gamepla wise, this was a huge hit! but even back in this sega/nintendo war, it actually was about the graphics.
