Currently the Special Forces of the US and Finland use Chinese Type 56 AKMs(AK47s) when they need to use that type of weapon in hostile areas. If you read you can learn a lot.

its a "mak 90 because mak stands for modifide AK and 90 because thats the year they started importing them from china. they have no bayonet lugs and they shoot the same 7.62 by39 ammo the russain or any other ak does also the barrel threads for the compensator are machined of to satisfy the 922r complainse,thank our wonderfull president Clinton . some ppl call them a knock off but they are more accuate and have a thicker reciever than an anglo made ak . that thumb hole stock sucks

ak 47's are usually fully automatic. this one seems to be semi automatic, with a shorter barrel and larger stock + scope.. dunno why they call it that tho xD maybe because of the rounds? :D

It's a "mak 90" not "mac" because it is a chinese knockoff, and you can put a scope on any ak-47, cut the barrel, but this barrel ISNT cut. Theres no reason you would want to fire fully automatic if it was available either because your accuracy would go to shit and you would waste ammo.

Lets get this right. The MAK-90 is a AK-47 variant manufactured by Norinco in China. Most MAK-90s come stock with a thumb-hole grip, semi-auto, and they are great guns. Far superior to the Romanian WASR-10s that most idiots buy today and think they have a good AK.

@TommyBloxxer Actually Chinese AK47s are very good quality, During the Vietnam War most AKMs that were used were from China. Currently the Special Forces of the US and Finland use Chinese Type 56 AKMs(AK47s) when they need to use that type of weapon in hostile areas. If you read you can learn a lot.
