  • @uk1980s1 on tour with BSB, its called the NKOTBSB tour, its exciting

  • this was so gay. even for the 80's

  • THE FATHER OF BOYBANDS...NKOTB

  • they look like a bunch of old justin biebers

  • @ogdrion I hope your joking they look nothing like Justin Bieber.

  • watch, i will say it now, a lot of these old pop songs are finding their way into new dubstep and electronic music remixes...i could see the chorus from this finding it into a song, which is cool with me, just like how t-pain used the Beverly hills cop theme in his new song thats out..im sure 90% of them teeny boppers today have no idea that it is unoriginal

  • wheres marky mark?

  • @allenj2k marky mark isn't in the group, his brother is tho..he's the one with the longest hair wearing the hat. Mark wahlberg said he was too cool for the group lol. ....i just say he was too hott!

  • @allenj2k watch one of their recent songs. Summetime i think its called. Donnie looks identical to his brother mark wahlberg =)

  • @MsGiseleT oh lmao marky mark was just too gangsta...gangsta gangsta at the top of the list.

  • @allenj2k Sorry that is not marky mark thats donnie whalberg.

  • LMFAO = SH1T

  • The only pop that *doesn't* suck.

  • @CleansWithRag You haven't listened to enough pop.

  • @MasterExploder61

Yes I have... too much, actually.

  • @CleansWithRag What have you heard from indie pop, synthpop, futurepop, chamber pop, j-pop, al jeel and schlager?

  • @MasterExploder61

Futurepop, synthpop, and J-pop are ok... but it can't hold a candle to NKOTB.

This is my opinion... why are you getting all bent outta shape over what I think...?

  • @MasterExploder61 I guess you can't. Thus proves your ignorance.

  • old school music :)

  • @21Spocaj Internet users who can't spell rhythm.

  • @adamclarkson77 If you don't like it, don't search up the video. It's not that complicated.

  • I love this song but everybody makes fun of me lol.

  • who would've thought that I'd be watching this clip on a computer monitor which is slimmer and bigger than my tv used to be back then LOL

  • *screaming and crying*

  • I don't like it!

  • How nice were boy bands in the 80's? I'm so glad I grew up when boy bands were popular and no-one listened to Rap. I'm sure I'm a better person for it. Thank-you NKOTB

  • Did I hear some light Autotune effect at 1:06 "All that I WANTED was you" ... hmmmm

  • @Boricua4Christ autotune wasnt invented until 1997...

  • @667neighborofdabeast They had pitch correction in the 80s, it was just a lot more laborious process in the studio, so it wasn't as widespread because of cost and time (and stigma). But NKtB's voices were manipulated in the studio. It was also common to dub over a vocalist with their own voice to make it sound fuller and stronger on the recording.

  • oh oh oh oh

  • People seem to forget just how big NKOTB were back then. They had some of the craziest fans and really could sing. 80's pop is the best!

  • Ok so I had a typo meant to say wrong decade

  • haha i love this song but they dance like penguins

  • I series believe I was born in the wrong century love the 80s

  • boy band.. holy shit

  • Play from your fucking HEART!

  • I was born in 87 so I was just a baby when these guys first hit the scene but I still remember the huge hype for them. Plus I had my sister's NKOTB back pack as a hand me down.

  • they come to my country, next month with the back street boys, dubble fun!!!! xD

  • I had a man crush on Donnie.

  • haha i was 4yr old when this song came out...still love it now mmmm mark wahlberg

  • New kids on the block was a response to New edition. New edition's manager robbed them of their money and he got mad and his response was to make NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK.

  • That's a nice inaccurate allegory wrapped in a seemingly accurate fable. But, lets be clear about something. Maurice Starr, a black man, stated unequivocally during his founding of New Kids, that he was doing it expressly because he felt that had New Edition been "all white," that they would have been much "bigger" than they already were - which was pretty darn big to begin with.

Nevertheless, New Kids provided the pivot in pop culture away from talent being the central focus.

  • @TigerGrumman U must have a hard on for new edition or something. The fact is that New Edition were mediocre vocalist anyway and the only members with real ability (Ricky Bell & Johnny Gill) rarely got to sing lead. The fact is, being WHITE is the reason why they receive so much criticism, god forbid a bunch of "white boys" don't have guitars in their hands. It has nothing to do with "talent" but everything to do with image, being white helps but it's also a drawback.

  • What people don't seem to understand, is that the reason lesser quality vocals are in such demand today, is due to the neo-music pop culture movement that began with New Kids on the Block.

The attempt was to replace New Edition and the multi-decade African American dominance within mainstream pop music, with something that could be "sold" en-mass to the broader culture, regardless of the fact that it was of lesser tonal quality.

Thus, the birth of the lesser Neo-Pop Culture we have today.

  • This ain't Dubstep ah well 80's it is then!

  • bahahahahhahahahahahaha

  • WANKERS!!! Don't mind me, lol, I'm just vulgar :P

  • Great memories of "Dial MTV", February, 1989 ! To this day, this is my favorite video ! Thanks for posting !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • *lol* now I see why mark didn't wanna join this group jk jk this was the jam back in highschool good ole 90s

  • Don't get me wrong, New Kids On The Block was a good singing group; That stated, It sickens me that acts like this are the rule rather than the exception in The Music Industry these days. The overkill is killing The Music Industry, and it's fans like me that are tired of it.

  • Watching this cos of Quest Crew!!

  • 1:05 - Autotune was used even then :D

  • Wow! You went back wit da moves lol! C/O Flyingbrickstv

  • I REMEMBER DANCING THE EXACT DANCE STEPS TO THIS SONG AND SHOWING IT OFF TO MY FRIENDS. LOVE THIS FREAKING GROUP. SO LUCKY TO HAVE JORDAN KNIGHT FOLLOWING ME ON TWITTER AND EVEN TWITTED ME .. AHHHHHH ( THATS ME SCREAMING LOL)

  • @91cutiegurl i know all the places in this vid except the building they are dancing in and the bridge they are driving over close to the beginning is G.N.O (Greater New Orleans) bridge if im not mistaken the one to get from new orleans to belle chase or across the river as us local new orleanians like to say

  • I'm 14 And My Sister Is 20...We're Colombians And We Love NKOTB Even If They Look Like Our Parents Now!

  • are Jennifer Lopez in this video?

  • @95asta No Jennifer Lopez is in the Games video. I think she's the one who's in the stripper cage with Donnie. :)

  • @CelesteK what is the name of that video she's in?

  • omg! i used2 have these guys plastered all over my wall when i started hih school.I luved joey 2!Had kirk cameron and patrick swazey on the top of my wall right above me!! LOL! liked tiffany and debbie gibson! WOW! TIME HAS FLOWN!!

  • This is when the word MTV was cool!

  • O.O...

  • when boy bands really could sing!

  • @mikecox cuando realmente chicos lindos y con talento, podían cantar y bailar ;)

  • @mikecox When boy bands actually had talent.

  • @mikecox And dance

  • @mikecox WTF? Both Backstreet Boys and N'Sync were really good singers. As to Acapella, BSB actually could beat everyones ass

  • @AdrianWillis Boy bands are good. That's funny.

  • @mikecox I Wish I Was Born In That Time I Had To Be Born In 98 :(

  • @mikecox hey what about plus one their from the early 20's and they were pretty good. i like their songs alot all of them.you should listen them some time(not all the songs are on youtube but you can search the discography)

  • OMG Can I even put into words how much I loved them as a kid!

  • @KellyAPRN Me too. They aren't nearly the focal point of my life as they were when I was 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 years old but still. :)

  • @CelesteK Oh I know! I grew up to be a Beatles fan and fully realize NOW that they were just puppets and in all honesty, not to great but I guess every generation has their Justin Bieber! LOL. Take care!

  • @KellyAPRN :) You're right. I might have defended their honor when I was young. They were puppets on a string just like many others but like many others they were smart enough to say "okay we need to make some decisions for ourselves and one of those decisions that we need to make is to decide on whether or not we want to dump our manager?"?

A part of me is glad that they did dump Maurice Starr their manager/producer but another part of me says it was a bad decision.

  • @KellyAPRN After all this time they're still my first school girl crush and one that I cherished since I was a teenager. :)

  • Now I see what Hicks was talking about :Q

  • Thumbs up if you're watching in 20........<<<OH SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!

  • @GEORGEBUSHISAKUNT you make me laugh SO much

  • Comment removed

  • Lol cheesy 80"s stuff for sure.. but still love them and it was amazing at that time period. I <3 NKOTB.

  • thumbs up if Qwest Crew brought you here!

  • Not gonna lie, I just wanted to hear the chorus. I don't like the band or the rest of the song. Just that catchy "Oh oh oh-a-oh. oh oh a-oh"

  • Fuck them.

  • @MrNezic You haters crack me up. LOL!!!! Haven't you got anything better to do than to comment on videos that you clearly have no interest in?

  • @CelesteK You indicative idiotic bovine american sows crack me up. How do you like this music? How do you even remotely take any type of please in listing to this?

  • @MrNezic Sheesh MrNezic jealous much? I've been listening to these guys since I was 12 years old. Not that I ever expect you to understand what goes on in my head when I listen to these guys.

I have nothing but good memories of these guys. My days as a "CANADIAN" young girl were spent envisioning myself with one of these guys, getting my hair cut like my favourite guy, and making sure that I got caught up on every little thing they did and every little move they made. They were fun.

  • @CelesteK Jealous? It doesn't sound like I'm the jealous one. It sounds like you were OR are the obsessed one thought. You are a sad, strange human-being, and you have my pity.

  • @MrNezic Why do you even care? I'm not hurting you. You're not related to me so why do you care?

Yes it does sound like you're jealous. Because if you weren't then you wouldn't be wasting your time trying to get me to not like them. :)

  • @CelesteK I didn't even know who they were till' I watched Bill Hicks, He was right, they're fucking Nazis. Can I ask you an important question that you still haven't answered, How do you take pleasure in listening to this.. shit? I don't understand it, there is so many good artist out there and you people pick this horse shit. Is it because

at the time everyone else was doing it?

  • @MrNezic Actually I did answer your question. I like this group because I have good memories of them when I was 12 or 13 years old. :)

  • @CelesteK I still don't understand how you think this is good, I understand a lot. But this is one big FUCKING THING I DON'T GET. But, when I think about it, I guess I could. Good memories is a strong point. I listen to southern-rock, It does remind me of the days hunting with my recurve. So, in the long run I could think that memories are a good point, I just don't get how they sound... well, Good... in the fact that I don't understand that.

  • @MrNezic And "no" this isn't the only stuff that I listen to. If you'll click on my username and look at the videos that I do have saved under "favourites" you'll find that my musical tastes extend to a lot more than just boy bands. I like 80s music too. :)

  • @CelesteK Oh, well that's different... I thought you were one of those boy-band extremist that are willing to die for the cause. I'm not kidding, I've ran into quite a few of those.

  • @MrNezic I don't make NKOTB the focal point of my life. I like them, I ocassionally watch their videos and listen to their music, and I may make an ocaisional comment about Joe's eyes but that's it. :) Nothing to rip my head off about. :)

  • ppl wonderer why music from the90' s so much better than modern day music, and i think the reason is that music today is all autotuned ppl singing about drugs and sex. ppl in the 's could actually sing, and sing about things people can relate to in their every day lives :) thumbs up if you agree

  • third i fell in love

  • 150 people dont have the right stuff

  • i seen donnie in the movie Saw. Just noticed it was him in this group...

  • a lot of tight jeans in this video. whoo!

  • old men on the block lol

  • i swear one of these boys was in one of the Saw movies, but i cant for the life of me remember which one??

  • @AzzarClarKyy95 Donny Wahlburg he,s on blue bloods

  • ... fags.

  • One of my favorite songs of all time! Still love it to this day.......What a bunch of talented guys, and to think Donnie and Mark (I know he's not in the group) Wahlberg are such great actors, too......All of the guys are multi-talented, good looking & I am proud of them!

  • aye. dont joe or joey look like a justin bieber

  • @lilniah1000 Eeewww. Joe is much better looking than Justin is. ;)

  • who's that guy 0:25

  • they are cute!!!!!

  • @Remlundskan Perhaps? It must have been terrible for Jon to hide his sexuality for so long? I sort of knew that he was gay the minute I started watching him in the Dirty Dawg video. He didn't look comfortable watching those strippers.

  • My bestfriends song... I Miss You Ash... <3

  • i love this track

  • this is an awesome video

  • Back then, boys bands did not sound like fags, boy bands now do *cough cough* Big Time Rush

  • @happyrandomness2011 lol my sister is in love with big time rush but i love new kids on the block and i totally agree :D

  • Hey hey....Does anyone remember when NKotB & MC Hammer had their own cartoons?

  • @LikaLaruku lol yea i remember!! i use to watch both cartoons were cool, i think mc hammer shoes were magical, werent they?

    Shit music...!!!

  • Nothing like playing hide and seek in a graveyard in the middle of the day!

  • I have 15 years and I love NKOTB

  • Wharts happening to them now? What are they doing nowdays?

  • @NeelTa on tour with the backstreet boys :)

  • @aaliyahsiobhan Do you know what they were doing all these years, if they have families, kids??

  • @NeelTa ooh i don't know about that :) sorry.

  • @NeelTa

Joe and Jordan are married, not to each other, and they have 5 kids between them. Joe's been married to his wife Baret since 2003, and has 3 kids, Griffin, Rhys, and Kira and Jordan has been married to his wife Evelynn since 2004 and they have two kids Dante and Eric.

Danny and Donnie are divorced and have 5 kids between them

And Jon has never been married.

  • @NeelTa wow u really dont know? theyve been touring with the backstreet boys and making new songs...
